MPC 3.4.2 Bug Reports

Post up any bugs and feedback for the latest 'release' version of MPC 3, currently v3.4.2. Please report bugs in as much step-by-step detail as possible so they can be easily verified.

Autosampler 'Make Current Track' Setting ignored

1. Autosample a plugin track (or MIDI track etc)
2. On the settings page, uncheck 'Make Current Track'
3. 'DO IT'

Expect: to be taken back to the plugin track I autosampled (as per MPC 2)

Actual: always taken to the new autosampled track, no matter if 'Make Current Track' is checked or unchecked.

Program Changes are shown as percentages

1. LIST EDIT > INSERT > MIDI Automation > Program Change

Expect: 'Value' to be an integer from 0 to 127

Actual: Program Change is a % from, 0 to 100.

Lol

Still no horizontal or vertical zoom assigned to Q-links in grid mode.



But hey, you can transpose and change time correction strength, maybe order lunch too, with the Q-links

I did report it and akai confirmed that as a bug

Settings for bus or global FX of OPx-4 are still not saved. Neither within the project nor when saves as custom preset.

Edit: Nevermind. This was user error.

I've been working on a song for weeks on 3.4.1 without an issue. Now, when I try to open that project, I get:

MPC PROJECT FAILED TO LOAD

Error Loading <path to project/file name.xpj>

When I hit 'OK', I get "Not enough memory to load <song name>"


This obviously forces me to downgrade.

MPC ONE PLUS 3.4.2

1.visual glitch
2.functional inconsistency vs the main mode page and next seq, song mode.
3. the blue internet page stays on every boot. even when check marked.

1.in main mode, the start bar changes to 3 when i return to that sequence, even though it was set to 4 but stil behaves like it was set on 4.

2.the sequence play and loop (start and and bar) method behaves differently in the main mode vs the next sequence mode and song mode.

a solution could be an automatic sequence bar count length, if start 4 and end bar 4 is selected that the length goes automatically to 1 bar. making it easier for the arrangement of next-seq and song.



3. I load an empty project on every boot. I'm connected via wifi and the USB B cable is connected to my windows 10 pc.

When creating a “song” from various sequences when I got to the newly created “song” it ignores mutes from individual sequences and unmutes tracks that were muted (for example verse 1 sequence the drums are muted, yet in the song the drums for verse 1 will be unmuted)
Fix is to save the project and reload, redo shift-song and create the new song sequence again and it seems to work.
I don’t believe this is to do with preferences for mute behaviour.
Still no zoom in or out q-link functionality in grid view, which makes it useless to use.
A shocker of an update quite frankly.

Never used Q-Links for that. Doing the pinch zoom all the time.

For me the Q-Links are mostly useless as I never can remember which knob does what on which screen.

Velocity adjustments in grid view, are shown as a percentage but the percentage goes up to 127 lol, seems like they couldn’t decide between percentage or value.

I've been having a problem with track mutes on the OG mpc X. ever since 3.4 track mutes can only be applied one at a time to the current selected track.is anyone else having this issue

[v3.4.2] [MPC Key 37] Still having "Favorite" sounds issues. When I tap on a Favorite, most of the time it selects the 1st patch for that plug-in. If I tap it again, it selects the correct patch. I have tried "Overwriting" the favorited patch, this does not help. If you stay within the same plug-in, all is fine when you change favorites. As soon as you select a favorite that belongs to a different plug-in, it selects the very first patch every time.

Example; I have patch "Fabric XL / Belly Stack" saved on Page 1 / Slot 4 of the Favorite patches. Upon clean boot, I go to Favorites. tap Slot 4 / Page 1 labelled "Belly Stack". And it loads "Fabric XL / Awakening". If I tap Slot 4 / Page 1 again, it actually loads "Belly Stack".

[Feature Request] Some Plug-Ins and Presets take much longer to load. The new NI plug-ins have a way of showing you that it's loading so you know when the patch is ready for playing. I wish all the MPC plug-ins did this. Like a progress/busy bar.
