I may be naive....But What if you Bounce the Automated Tracks to AUDIO 1st? Then Export them to an External DAW?

I may be wrong?

No it doesn’t work. Whether I bounce it to an audio track first, save - track to audio, or even mixdown. It makes the automation (filter sweeps) come in a few milliseconds before or after it’s actually automated and sometimes even passed the parameter it’s set to.

The craziest thing with this is that it happens different every time, you would think that if you exported the same track 10 times, it would export the same way (even if it’s wrong) every time, but it actually changes with each export.

These are the things we “need” to have fixed in order to produce music with this unit, imo these things should be at the top of the list rather than advanced features.

That's a bug & should be reported in that section. You're taking the word "need" out out context in what the OP was taking about.

Yes that issue your having needs to fixed, but this thread is for does all the new features (whether they work or not) takes way from the legacy workflow that made the MPC unique which had nothing to do with audio mixdowns, but more about the elimination of the program pool & stuff like that.

nope, it's included with current firmware already, but it seems that May is still a couple of months away and they're not skint enough yet to enable it at this moment. My prediction is that given the software is about to reach beta in may they will remind of themselves with this plugin around end of march/beginning of april just to keep the "hype levels" at manageable levels

I have a question about clips in 3.xx.

Can you guys sample into the pads directly now? It's a feature i've been wanting since we got clips. I find it kinda fun for formatting my songs. Could be a lot more useful if we could tap a pad and record a loop directly.

As usual, following AKAIs logic, the answer is yes and no
There's no tap to record function but when you tap an empty pad, you'll have an option to record sample directly to pad (given that you set your sampler to "pad tap" beforehand) but it will take you to the sampler window where is quite difficult to start and stop the recording exactly on point. Alternatively if you need perfect loop then you go to looper (which can run in the background) record there, assign it to pad and have perfectly quantized loop. As for clips - you can emulate "old style" clips in 3.x but they lacking quantized launch so you can't tap a pad beforehand and wait for it to start with next bar or whatever quantization scale you would choose.

Thanks Dusty for yet another golden nugget burried deep in the mpc firmware. I guess that's the one with the 2 instance limitation that you unearthed a few months ago.
Hopefully that will be available at some point, wonder what happened with the lofly dirt plugin that we were seeing being tested long time ago ,.
