MPC 3.4.2 Bug Reports

MPC37 keys here. Upgrading beyond 2.51 deletes all my drum tracks presets. Samples are still there. Worked on the beta version of mpc 3, but not any of the release versions

Same here. Song mode is unusable. Issue occured by inserting a sequence in song mode afterwards.

This happens in both 3.4.1 as well as in 3.4.2 firmware after loading DEMO projects.

Hi everyone, not sure where to post this, first time MPC Live 2 user here, new to the forum. Just bought a recent one second hand. After initial excitement: 3 crashes in 1/2 hour...Always (until now) with loading and pressing play on DEMO-projects. After recovery I get the message ""Your MPC recovered from an internal error". I am worried, do I have a lemon?

Am I the only one? Is this because the DEMO projects load from Internal memory? Can they be moved to the SSD? (sorry for my ignorance)

Here is a bug I reported for the MPC One when 2.11 was released.

Just checked and at version 3.4.2 years later, the bug is still present

**** DATA DIAL BUG IN SAMPLE EDIT MODE ****

1. Open any sample in Sample Edit mode
2. Zoom in 100%
3. Select start or end value field
4. Turning the Data Dial increase and decrease the selected value by 2 instead of 1
5. Pressing the + and - Buttons increase and decrease the selected value by 2 instead of 1

About 6-weeks of email strings and I still cannot access Wi-fi with 3.4.2 (or 3.4.1) on my MPC-X SE. Dumb thing is, when I downgrade to 2.15.1, I can access my Wi-fi but can't get logged into my inMusic profile to activate plugins. Everything else in my see's and connects to my Wi-fi fine. Already completed and found all of the proposed issues didn't work ... WAP2 check, downgrade/re-upgrade, log in/out online profile, log in/out of MPC 2 desktop, reset preferences (which won't save in either version anyways), shutdown/restart, use smartphone hotspot instead of Wi-fi, etc. Nothing has worked.,

Can’t edit program tracks from previous created songs. All the sounds are on the same track

After updating to 3.4.2 my MPC One suddenly uses way more CPU. Even when only having loaded a basic drum program and not doing anything, the CPU usage is at 10-20%. When I start playing, the CPU usage easily jumps to 30-40% causing glitches and distorsion in the sound.

Thought at first it may be due to the internal memory being almost full. So I deleted some old projects, freeing about 1GB of space but it had no effect.

Is there any way around this please? Been looking forward to the new update for ages but this just makes it unusable. Thank you.

the looper, when i make samples with the looper then they are always one samplerate too short.

to give an example, a 44100 sample, one second is exactly 44100. mpc makes it 44099 and on every process extract edit it subtracts 1. I end up with a 44098 length, which isn't 120 bpm anymore. i have some other samplers and these don't do that. so I believe its a bug.

Zoom problem in the Arrange/Grid window :

From the arrange window, if I click on the Grid button (to go to the Grid view) and then change the horizontal and vertical zoom to what I prefer, if I click to the Arrange button (to switch back to the Arrange view) and then come back again to the Grid view (by clicking again on the Grid button), the zoom is lost.
So I need to set again the zoom each time I come in the Grid window. That’s really annoying!

Is it possible to “ memorize “ the previous zoom values end keep them active?

Or to get an option in the preference to choose between “default zoom” or “memorize zoom”?

Cannot navigate samples in Browser with "+" or "-" buttons
Doing so automatically loads samples onto a pad.

Am I missing something? I haven't used this thing a ton, but I thought you could navigate through the Browser lists with +/- instead of the jog wheel if preferred. Apologies if I'm overlooking something obvious.

This is apparently 'as intended' and a new feature.

Sheesh. I have literal pages of bugs I scribbled while "beta" testing. I haven't had time to cross reference them with the bug report threads here, but the only things I've seen fixed are a couple of graphics rendering bugs. I would hope they've fixed more than that.

I cannot believe they released this to the public as an official update. NAMM or not. What a mess.

Talking of different ways to do the same thing .
On the track view page there are now three different ways to choose a track.
1 The usual +/- track buttons at the bottom
2 actually selecting a track
3. And now they have replaced the sequence select field , top left with a track select field.
Reported it early on , the ignorant clowns ignored me .
Oh by the way, that was the only way on that page to change sequence . They could break a brand new c…t.

Messing with different sequence length in a track seems to really confuse the sequencer! Tried running a track with just 2 beats looped, got a pattern I liked, then copied and pasted for the duration of my sequence. Then reverted to sequence length for playback and tried to write automation of pad mutes - the damn thing still thinks it’s on a 2 beat loop and records the mutes accordingly. Tried duplicating to a new track with events but it duplicates the problem too
