Hi all,

Does anybody use a touchscreen pen for their MPC for more accurate selecting, editing, etc? It's a pain that the zoom and select actions are two different tools so I'd like to accurately select notes while zoomed out in piano roll view for further editing.

If you use a pen, what type do you use? Any recommendations? I tried one my wife uses for her android tablet - it's supposed to be universal but it didn't work on my MPC X.

Me personally....I dont have the Patience/Time to keep track of s Stylus Pen. My fingertip works beautifully. I would probably only use it to Draw Automation on the Grid.

Lately I've been turning T.C on at different time divisions to Nudge notes & increase/decrease notes lengths while in the piano roll editor. You'll need to turn it off to move notes at 1 tick at a time. The time divisions also affect the size of notes for the pencil tool.

I record w/o T.C & just redo it live until I get it right so I don't have to much editing in there afterwards. The Force has a way better step editor mode that utilizes the 64 pads for entering/deleting notes so hopefully they can make screen version of this on the MPC:
