MPC Live v1 randomly turns on

touch wood my MPC live 1 has been running perfectly since 2017; dare I say its a classic MPC

Hi I bought a second hand mpc live 2 and I’m experiencing this same issue. Did you ever find a fix?

The fix is to replace the power switch. Do you have soldering skills? If not, order the switch from MPCStuff and bring it to a local electronics repair technician.

I say pull the gray plastic power button off, and spray a lil bit of Contact Cleaner inside. Not alot. I've seen that work out a few times.
If that doesn't work, then a Power Switch Replacement may be in order

I got lucky. I sprayed Deoxit in the power button a few times, worked it in with a bunch of light presses and the power button has been good as new. Hopefully this works for you

True, hitting it with some D5 and exercising the button a dozen times might do the trick. If not, replacing that switch is literally the only solution.
