Analog input/Akai IB-4D receives input, but no sound records

I am trying to get my Analog Input and Akai IB-4D to record sound, but whenever I record sound and press the "play" function to preview the recorded sound, I either do not hear anything or hear a short "beep" sound. I hear input when recording, but there is no result when recording is finished. For the the IB-4D,I am using a a basic analog to digital converter connected to the Akai IB-4D's input, I don't know if that's what's causing the issue.

UPDATE: It turns out my I/O Board was faulty, so I replaced it and now the functions work.

Bro where did you purchase the IB-4D IO board??
