MPC One 3.4.2
I’m getting an issue of recording audio and it won’t play back, everything is set correctly. If I go to edit audio and nudge it, it plays once and then stops again. Looks like it’s playing, but no sound. Works if I edit sample end once then stops, it refuses to just play. The only way round is to assign the sample to a pad and it will play, but the audio track is useless.

I had two issues with a song I wrote pre-3.4.

After importing, the song plays fine. Saved, shut down, restarted, and the MPC couldn't locate any of my samples. I had to:
1. open the old version of the song in the MPC software on my Mac
2. save the drum program by itself
3. switch back to standalone
4. load the imported project
5. replace the borked drum program with the one I saved from the MPC software

With the same project, any way I tried to export MIDI - whether that's export all tracks or exporting an individual track as MIDI sequence, all the MIDI files are empty. I had to again load the old project up in the MPC software and export from there. Luckily I hadn't done too much work in the project after importing and I was able to reproduce those changes in the DAW, but if I had done extensive work.. Grrrr.. Exporting MIDI worked fine in 3.4.1

In my personal workflow, I use the MPC for composing, and when I get to the "rough demo" stage I take everything into the DAW to finish up. 3.4 has basically ruined my entire workflow. The new projects don't open on the older version of the MPC, and the 3.4.2 software is buggy AF. I'm scared that stuff I work on is going to get marooned in the MPC until Akai gets its act together. I'm a professional software engineer and if I shipped an upgrade like this to my customers, I'd be out of a job.

dithering? static tic when using audio mixdown.
did the mixdown twice, and the same static tick at the same position.
had it in a few other songs, on an other position ( time frame) I believed it was bad luck but I now realize it's every time I use the mixdown that it mostly happens.
that's a bummer for professional productions
mpc one plus 3.4.2
solution, record as a sample and save.

I haven't been able to stem a sample for last two firmware updates and have exhausted all possible solutions.

Have you contacted Akai support about this? I don't think this is a known issue, so more likely something amiss on your install or related to licensing on your account.

Hello Everybody,

i've made the firmware upgrade few week ago.
I bought the mpc Live because it gave me the possibility of having more outputs and being able to route the output of the Click into output 3 that we send to our drummer. After the update in the click preferences window when I set an output other than 1-2 it doesn't work. Have any of you noticed the same problem?

2 critical bugs I have found in the last month of using MPC Live 2 with 3.4.2.

1. It happens very often (I would say few times a day) to freeze for few seconds then to give me an error and tell me to load the last project. If autosave is disable the progress for that project is lost till the last manual save. I am not sure why it happens, feels random. If I wanna use the MPC for a live shows it would be a mess to stop my project and restart in the middle of the performance so this should get fixed...

2. Sometimes, even more often then the first bug one, when I start the sequence for the first bar the clock is all over the place, then slowly syncs with other gear, by bar 3 or 4 is in sync and stays that way till i stop and play again. As I like to make a beat then move to ableton to add sounds and I am used to hitting the space bar many times this is a killer. IT always starts un-synced and hurt my ears. The MPC is clocked from my ERM Multiclock on MPC Input 2.

The Force does this to at times, usually pressing Shift and Play makes it play in sync. Does that work for the MPC?

I don't know, my MPC is clocked to ERM so i never hit play on the actual MPC

Ok, the Force is the master clock in my case. When its slaved to the MPC I need to insert 2 blank bars on both devices for the Force to record the MPC MIDI seq data in sync. Would that work?

Maybe others have picked this up already but button navigation almost seems to have been abandoned in the new OS - doesn’t work in the mixers, doesn’t work in the plugins, doesn’t work for moving around fields in windows (for example the track name/number/colour etc) window. As I’ve observed elsewhere this may not be so much a bug as a feature - moving people towards more and more touchscreen use. Perhaps a new hardware model is in the works which is just a pad interface and a touchscreen and no buttons at all…

Mpc live 2.
If I’m missing a setting please let me know, Arranger loop bar increments are bar length only, in the video explaining live 3 it shows them marking loop lengths to edit sections to make transitions and other edits.
Also shorter loops are great for performance…
I’ve tried TC setting I just can’t hack this one.. :arrow:

I have Key61, v3.4.2. I have headphones on, I can hear the “mpclick” on the left side when choosing “Out 3,4” in click/metro window.
