Swap Drum Programs inside tracks to keep MIDI Learn mappings

Is there a way to change the drum program inside a track without changing the track itself so that we can keep the midi learn mappings.

I have a track with a drum program on which i have mapped PAN + AMP RELEASE of each pad to specific Midi CCs. All works well, but if i try to load a new drum program all my mappings are gone.

How can I load a drum program but keep those mappings?

Save the track as a separate file then load back into the project. The Track macros are tied to the Track. You can also, copy pads from another track to the 1 with the macros. Go into the grid editor & tap the option or whatever it's called tab & you should see the option to Copy or Merge pads.

Load the new kit into a new track, then use the Merge Tracks function on the new track and select the original track.

Thanks for inputs. I tried saving the track, delete it and loading back in but the mappings are not coming with it. If i delete the track all mappings are gone and no way to bring them back.

Also went into grid editor and could not find any copy or merge pads option. the ones available are clear, double length, half speed, double speed, pitch quantize, humanize, random events, split events, convert to progression, bounce to sample and bounce to audio track

If you are talking about I/O, I don't know any way to bring midi from track A to track B besides sending midi to track B from track A. I already tried this and midi cc's coming from my external gear are modulating only track A, even so midi is sent to track B

Is there something I am missing?

Damn, you can't save the track macros is wack. Maybe @MPC-Tutor can help.
What OS are you on? If it's 3.0 maybe they moved Copy/Merge pad elsewhere.

Q-LINK EDIT, or hold down [Q-LINK] button > TRACK, and any macros you set there are saved with the track. Make sure you use 'SAVE > Track'

It’s not about I/O. Load the new kit into a new track, select that track (not in the Arrangement tab), choose the Merge Tracks function from the pencil icon, and enable 'Include program and ...'. This will overwrite the kit while keeping the MIDI map.
