So the REN works just fine with Mac OS Sonoma using the 3.3.11 driver but no audio or midi. However if you use the driver for 10.10 os or 10.11 the midi is now discoverable. This was an awesome find and it works with no issues so those of you wondering that’s great. My thing is I want to know if we can find a work around to get the audio to work again and make the Ren fully functional. When I hopped on late 2023 I was told the MPC Touch wasn’t able to work with Monterey and since then I have made it work with every OS past that and left details in the forum so I know things are possible. Discovering that the midi works now and testing it using a backdated driver I’m wondering if it will do the same for audio if we have an older driver. So please anyone who has the drivers before Yosemite I believe lmk asap and message me so I can try with those drivers if we can get the Rwn working with this new software we are in for a treat

Hi fellow MPCists.

I just wanted toss my coin in the mix here ref. t newer MacOs and this legacy device (MPC Ren)

I have been a long hardware MPC user. I bought Ren out of curiousity ( i got it very cheap). I did some basic googling and took my chances if i could get the machine work with MacOs Sonoma (i have Macbook i7).

Funny thing. I could not get MPC 1.97 to work. It did not even open since it crashed immediately after i tried to load the program. No matter how i tried to remove/re-install drivers & program. Still kept crashing.

I started to wonder if i needed to upgrade the software to 2.0 but bit hesitated since the upgrade was/is around 100€ cash.

I noticed that i can get MPC 2.15 software. I mean why not? Well, quess what? It works perfectly ( sans Audio I/O) with my MPC Ren :D. I needed to install old drivers as the described in previous post.

But yhis raises aa funky question. If i got MPC 2.15 works with my setup, why in the earth i need to pay 100€ for upgrade to 2.0? Is there a catch?

I even aske AI for this tbut the reply was thst there is no need to pay for it :D

Anyway, just thoring this out there for the archives and if someone is steuggling with same dilemma.

Wicked piece of equipment this MPC Reneissance! Love it.
