I somehow accidentally recorded solo automation on several tracks, probably due to using overdub wildly. This has been driving me nuts for a few days, where my song will randomly solo huge groups and mute others, and clicking the solos off in Track Mute mode doesn't permanently change it.

I only noticed the automation tracks after clicking on one of my tracks and pressing Alt +M to pull up the erase menu and then digging around the parameters which showed this:

TRK: Solo under erase Automation means the Solo state is being automated. Clicking Do It here erases the entire automation track off my MIDI track. Problem solved (don't forget to clean up other tracks that may also have Solo automated)!

I hope that helps someone down the road who ended up where I did.
