Hello all !

Since i switched my audio output in MPCBeats to my bluetoth bo (ZK202) i cannot switch it back to the motherboard speaker which is Realtel High Definition Audio.
I set up the ASIO4ALL settings like it is suppoes on various pages but... nothing.
All other programs on Windows dont habe a problem and the sound is fine...
Did anybody has that problem yet?

I don’t what causes this break in function between the Realtek driver and the MPC Software but I experienced it as well after using a different source.

Don’t waste your time contacting Akai because they have very little competency in troubleshooting.

What I found that fixed the problem was deleting the driver in control panel and allowing the OS to reinstall it. That restored functionality. That’s some basic Windows troubleshooting stuff one step beyond rebooting and Akai was stumped. They responded with nonsense. You can tell they didn’t even read the ticket.

MPC Software supports WASAPI, so you should be using WASAPI Exclusive. There is no point in using ASIO4ALL unless you're trying to use it for some type of device aggregation. It basically abstracts Windows Audio to look like ASIO. There is no benefit in using it over WASAPI Exclusive Directly.

ASIO4ALL exists for people to use DAWs that do not support WASAPI natively, like Cubase, Reason, FL Studio and ACID Pro. For those DAWs, you do need a Generic Audio Driver because the legacy Audio APIs are designed for gaming, not Pro Audio Applications (WASAPI has features specifically designed for Pro Audio applications like DAWs and NLEs - thread prioritization and such).

Use WASAPI Exclusive. It bypasses the Windows Mixer. WASAPI Shared is for basic consumer applications/media apps and will go through the Windows Mixer, apply Mixer Effects (like Dolby/DTX Spatial Audio, Loudness Equalization, etc.) and have way higher latency as a result.

WASAPI Exclusive will lock the Audio Device, for obvious reasons (ASIO4ALL does the same).
