MPC 3 Won't Save Preferences

I have tried resetting my preferences, restarting my MPC-X SE, and my preferences still will not save after shutdown. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this an MPC 3.4 issue?

yes - its driving me mad - did you get anywhere?

Mine was working fine then stopped!
I have tried going down to mpc2 and back up to 3 but nothing.
preference reset - doesnt work..

Everybody else's works fine. What exact Preference are you trying to save?

i have reverted to 2.15.1 then updated firmware and returned to 3.4.3

My MPC is worse - no preferences work, cant use wifi - so cant put in serial codes for homage etc.

this is the response from akai level 2 support:

"This is a bug we're currently addressing. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. You can update to MPC 3 again after you've rolled back and installed the content. While I don't have an estimated time for the bug fix, you shouldn't need to go through this process again anyway."

My MPC keeps losing then and again the settings for Shift+Q-Link behaviour. And also the bank button behaviour, but that did never work for me on MPC2 as well.

Every time I turn it on, it's like I'm starting it for the first time. It always shows "Welcome to MPC," and even though I tick "Don't show this again," it still appears every time. My preferences reset every time I restart the program.

The weirdest thing is that after leaving it all day, it suddenly worked fine. This morning, it showed my recent project, and I was able to reset the default BPM without any issues. But by lunchtime, it went back to resetting as if I had just reset preferences, and now this evening, the problem is happening again. Crazy!

After the 3.4 update I've started having this happen. So far since 3 I haven't ran into many issues but this is the worst. I can't use my interface now bc when you have to have 32 outs selected and upon reboot it just starts up like it's brand new. I get that stupid connect to wifi page every time and all my preferences are reset everytime. I've done everything so if anyone get a fix for this plz post it.

I have the exact same problem on my Force with last 3.5.054 public beta. Tried to downgrade to last private beta 3.5.052, and to last public release 3.3.0 with the same result, preferences are no more saved after reboot.

Hope that next beta will fix it…

In the same Time, I can not login anymore to InMusic to activate my plugs : I own all of them and can not use even one anymore !!
With wifi or LAN/Ethernet, it’s the same result : scan the QRCode, get a positive answer after login on InMusic from smartphone : but Force seems to wait for authorization server confirmation endless (I tried waiting up to 24h). Only option is « cancel ».
I tried to change DNS to 8.8.8.8, switch Timezone to UTC, disconnect all usb/SATA/SDCard, many reboot, préférence reset etc with no result.

Today my Force looses its preferences at every reboot, and I can not activate /acces to any of my plugin…

I had the same problem, and maybe there is a workaround. I dont know if it is already fixed, some with more mood can check it.

What i did/do, is to
1. change the preferences
2. save the project you are in
3. shut down the MPC

After this, my preferences are be saved. I do it about 3 times, maybe it works randomly and have nothing to do with this workflow. Its just in my mind what i did and at this time it works for me.

Like i said, im from germany and owner of the MPC Live I and the MPC X SE "Ultimate Bundle".....purchased my Live about 8 month ago, the X about a month.......and i love them.

I've had the same problem since 3 came out. No wifi or Ethernet no Internet at all. Went back to 2.10, 2.12, then to 2.15 then Internet worked. Tried updating to the 3s and again didn't work. I'm back to 2.15 for Internet and activations but it definitely doesn't remember any settings once restarted. Lot's of us have this exact problem.

Ive only started experiencing this with 3.4 but with 3.5 it got worse. Ive rolled back pretty far and haven't found a solution. Can't activate plugins cant use 32 outs anymore. Can't get rid of that god forsaken blue screen to connect to wifi. This is the most frustrated ive been with a piece of gear.
I reset my mpc in diagnostic mode and ran a memory test and it failed the second part and said emmc failed or something like that. idk Just stating what ive experienced.

I believe on the hack OS you can fix the EMMC. Maybe someone with more experience with it can give you more info. Good luck!

That’s serious! I haven’t experienced any of these issues at all on MPC 3.5. Been real smooth to be fair. MPC 61 Keys standalone only. Even down to the plug-ins activations, my machine just works. Activated them once and haven’t been asked to sign in or reactivate ever.
