the orginal dude who leaked the mini rumours said that it would come in two colours; Black and White (or perhaps the retro cream/grey tones)

Devices that have built in mics tend to be the smaller devices; that target the portable/bedroom producers crowd such as the SP404.
So following that logic one would expect this device to be smaller then the current MPC Live and smaller then the MPC One, u straight up lied and said the dimensions of the new device are shown on the FCC website, but then u did a gypsy switch and spoke about the label dimensions.

Just admit that u were wrong to dimiss the suggestion of their being an MPC Mini device; as u lack perception ur arrogance blinds u.

'Like Cain u r NOT Able' to asses Akai's product devlopment direction, by looking at market trends, and competitors within the beat machine/sampler market place.

Oh god…. where do I begin ? That's going to be quite long as I don't think I will be able to mentally lower to your level again so let me break it down for you genius:

jpeg wrote:I asked about exact measurements of the device; NOT the exact measurements of the label, also the lable measurments are somewhat ambigous due to lack of metric or imperial units.

1. Label measurements are ambigious only for someone at your mental level, even if it's not stated anywhere what units are displayed, what do you think the unit will be chosen in an OFFICIAL documentation ? Sticks ? Knuckles,Stones, dicks (if so then are they african, caucasian or straight asian dicks ?) spoons, chopsticks? Given that this website carry 1000's of other documents written with metric units YOU think that this one in particular show some newly invented units just because "f**k the system". Heck even if you would have to choose between Metric and Imperial - by your logic, it is possible that this label is 75 inches wide yes? Overall, it is Ambigious because you wan't it to be ambigous and it's most suitable for your theory that you keep repeating as it was some kind of competition while nobody give a single damn about it.

dustyslices wrote:They're on the FCC website - you have exact measurements of the label and you also have exact placement of the label in relation to the unit itself. It's not that hard to extract full device measurements is it ?

Which part of extrapolating measurements you don't understand ? Don't call me liar because you exactly know what was written and what that post stands for, the only dude who's doing some gypsy switching is you with your "i can't see it" " i don't understand it" "it doesn't say exactly and I have to think" "I need to be spoon fed"

Wrong? Again... dude, this is not a competition or some sort of dick comparison contest - I really don't give a damn about you or your pulled straight from the ass opinion because you bring nothing in substance to the table. Difference between me and you is that I'm looking at what I have in front of me, trying to make out something out of it, while you write some bullshit stories without even trying to investigate anything. Dude… this is the reason nobody treat you seriously here and everyone is laughing at you…
This is also the reason why I can't be salty, I just simply can't because I don't care - they can bring micro mini even tomorrow and make it free of charge for those who stood by them and believed in all those "mini stories" through all those years, I don't care dude… I don't know how to put this more straight for you apart of saying that it only could bother someone with your mentality - big boys don't care especially after all those years... :Sigh:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now let's get back to something with more of a substance:
Left screen LIVE II --- Right screen ACVG
They look exactly same to me no matter what you going to say.
Official Label width in the documents equals to 75mm no matter what you will say THEREFORE in my opinion the unit will be size of LIVE II
Image

Just for shit and giggles - here's the LIVE II label - I know you will say that this image clearly shows that the label is one hundreth of a milimiter short of 75mm so therefore I must be wrong but I'll take that risk and say that Live 2 label was 75mm wide as well.

oh look... 65W Charger going into big ass 14.4V LI-ION battery pack. This means two things only:
1. Battery pack is way too big for a handheld device (at least 4* 18650 / preferably 8* for approx 50Wh)
2. 65W into handheld/mini device ? in DC terms it will be around 19v * 3.x amps (umphhhhhh)...
but obviously I'm making shit up and you know better. :hmmm:

I could pull more examples but as I said at the beginning - trying to reason with you is an exhausting mental challenge so I'll leave it like that... and just say that it will be LIVE 2 SE with 4gigs imho

EDIT:
dread the day when you find out that there's ACVC & ACVK as well :WTF:

1. That's not what a "theory" is. A theory requires a hypothesis with extensive testing and proven results. Making shit up on the Internet is NOT that.

2. We really REALLY know you want an MPC MIni to be a real thing, but - I hate to break it to you - there's zero evidence to support it being a real thing. And certainly no "theory".

I'm just curious if jpeg will shed his arrogance, grab his kneepads, and kneel down and admit he was wrong when it turns out he is? :hmmm: Takes a big man to do that.

What is the simple definition of theory?
1. : an idea or set of ideas that is intended to explain facts or events

Not all theories are scientific theories; and as such require no testing.

I have outlined my hypothesis many times, the small sampler market is booming based on the success of sp404, KO2 and Ableton Move products.

Akai had previous success in the small sampler market with the MPC500; So the logic follows that Akai now seeks to reprise that prevous success and re- enter the small sample market place with the MPC Live min, this theory is further supported by the fact that the newly listed device has a built-in mic.

No other MPC devices have an in-built mic; the SP404SX also had an in-built mic for sampling on the go; which further adds to the hypothesis that this is indeed the Live mini leaked 2 years ago.

Its all very simple; but u lack the vision to understand why Akai would move in that direction

MPC-Tutor wrote:It really should be a Live 3, the fire sale on Live 2 would seem to be the biggest indicator - or certainly a 'replacement' mid range model just with a completely different name. Needs to have 4GB, battery and the usual live2 I/O at minimum. Lose the speakers as I like to carry my Live around with me!

Maybe revealed in Berlin next month at Superbooth? Don't see Akai or inMusic listed on the exhibitors page though.

Maybe the Live 3 is infact the Live mini? but if it is indeed the Live3 why would you suggest that it would need a 'completely different name'? surely as popular as the Live has been they would seek to maintain continuity?

Agree on the 4GB; the device on the FCC does indeed have a battery; and there is no mention of the built-in speaker.

Even the Live 1 is too big and heavy to make it truly portable; hence why I suggest perhaps they decided to miniturise it.

When was the last time Akai announced a new product at superbooth? or NAMM?
The trend with Akai in recent times seems to be; forget about anouncing products at trade events; they just go direct to youtube/social media.

So what we know so far is it's definitely a Live Mini with a mic and poly aftertouch that may or may not run on batteries.

Is that about it?

I think it is the mini because the guy from sonic state said it was.. :fku:
But seriously, why would he lie about Akai showing him it? He is a major music software developer..
Maybe it just has a really big battery? :hmmm:
Anyway no reason to get mad about it.. maybe it is a force live kind of thing? Since a keys version might be coming... Maybe a mini live force? Ayoo

All we currently know for sure is the device appears to have an MPC Live form factor; it has bluetooth/wireless connetivity, and an inbuilt battery.

Not sure what the poly aftertouch u refer to is?

Someone said it had a built in mic, however I was not able to confirm that by looking at the documents (which were published on 1st April (so could indeed be a hoax)

But it does seem seem legit; but there is still some mystery to unfold; new gear is always exciting.
