Here's an opinion

MPCs work flow has never been had that great.

Baffles me that Dedicated track mutes and select are still missing on the hard where .. :hmmm:

3.0 IMO is designed for the next generation of Akais ..

Noone does the slicing and layering better than the new Akai's ..
Full credit there...
everything else can be improved, especially the internal resolution or whatever hinders the NuAkais to detailed reverb and smooth freeze effect ..

#4k Still Rocks !

Chill out lampdog.. you got some real feelings toward stuff. Next off f*ck how YOU feel about it. I didnt ask you to tell me! Just cus your op doesnt mean you get to shove people around for admitting they see humor in things. ;) eat a dick bud. Are you the political police now? "you can have thoughts, within our params and dont you dare laugh."

This is odd because the workflow is what made an mpc an mpc. The workflow has a direct impact on how songs were made which impacted the actual art form

MPC2 was already nonsensical, obscure and random. None of the new MPCs kept the simple architecture of the old hardware. You used to know which page had what and didn't have to think about it. Complaining about the MPC3 structure is fine but please don't go praising the MPC2 like it was the shizzit. We lost streamlined functions a long time ago.

Here is what is beyond my level of understanding. if MPC3 makes you mad and you hate MPC2 because the MPCs made 30 years ago were perfect, why not just use the readily available "perfect" MPC?

No matter how much you moan and whine, it will never ever be the perfect MPC for you because you are not 20 million different people with different likes, wants and needs. The best you can do is voice your opinion with well thought-out feedback and possibly shape the future direction.

Moaning and whining and crying about how much Akai hates you while demanding Akai makes your "perfect" MPC will absolutely get you ignored by the very people looking for serious feedback so they may use that feedback to improve the MPC.

No one asked you to post what you posted and say what you said either.
That type shit doesn’t belong here and you know it.

I think you should consider the amount of time and effort that Akai has plowed into the current line of MPC. They obviously have determined that a standalone machine with a more modern (rather than, as you say, a decade old) approach is the way of its future.

Personally I couldn't agree more (with Akai) because that older concept was too rooted in a concept that was for a specific tool from olden days. I think during the course of the current MPC series (7 years or so) they realized that it needed a bit of cleanup.

You are facing a fork in the road. You have to decide if v3 and on, is a road you want to be on. V2 is still available and works, and is still an option. I am pretty confident that Akai is not going to rip up pavement to bring back a dirt road.

On a more philosophical level...

A person initially has a prospect of 30,000 some days on this planet. Some are born into immediate despair, and the number plummets drastically. Others meet all kinds of events during the course of their life, and the number drops. Some people wake up one day having the rest of their days totaling 180, or 30, whatever, for all kinds of reasons, just like that. These things deserve a rant.

If you have NOT encountered such things, and you are lucky to have an MPC near you. Stop wasting precious creative time on pondering the difference between one tap or three. Conjure up a lively tune for the people who aren’t so lucky. That’s the power of music. Live up to it! ;) :-D

They didn’t make 3.0 the way they did to improve the MPC. They did it to open up more sales to FL users.

And that’s fine, they are a business first.

Have you ever heard of a thing called an 'opinion'? Also look up 'hyperbole' and 'strawman'. Hope this helps.

 probably right lol. it's funny to me but not for the reasons you think or think i'm promoting. I find it funny to see a person let loose when they no longer care anymore. Like mike tyson telling a tv host in toronto he was a piece of shit for calling him a convicted rapist, or jim carey during his epiphany that hollywood is all bullshit. There's endless names of celebrities snapping and it never becomes any less entertaining.

We just didnt have anything better at that time.,
In the 80s the 60 and especially the 3k with its then impressive specs where considered the flagship MIDI sequencers ..

Flip it today standard they are a bit of a meh design..
Look at the immediacy of Electrons with way smaller screens or Rolands MC line with dedicated level and track select/mute controls, or the real-time play of Elektribes ..
Sorry but that classic MPC workflow is a child of its time .
