Trying to migrate from using a Live2 to using a Force and slowly working through the niggles and differences. Surprised, almost shocked, to see that Flex Beat is "currently not available for the Force." I don't suppose Akai have said whether it definitely will come to the Force or not?? It's rather integral to how I mangle my beats in a live setting currently and I really hope I'm not going to have to work around this being missing for all time.

I just accept the machine for what it is. Anything that might come is just extra. Used to have a live but like the force way better. Can’t you keep the love and use it together?

I don't know what the Force will get. I would try to find a way to kinda do it on the Force. Look at all the current features & think would could be combined & or used in ways that it wasn't intended to make it happen?

Good luck & have fun with that project & let us know if come with something even if something way different then what you tried to do. 8)

Hi,
yes, Flex Beat and other new features as Native Intruments MPC expansions compliance will come with the new Force update.

Flex beat is not very good at all. You arent missing much. I'd actually rate it as one of their most frivolous plugins yet. When you're lacing down clips and writing music from the matrix view the last thing any of us wanna do is dive into a sub menu and touch the screen, or try to fight the q links into managing it orrrr dive into a menu to post process the clip. Rather do that with hardware on insertion.

Maybe there's something more to Flex-Beat that I don't know about, but it seems like it's Akai way to make up for the MPC lack of crossfader & pad macros.

What can Flex Beat do that can't be done on the Force already, I really want to know?

Not much. I bet most force users have moved past this plugin now.

Honestly? The force does what I want and what I need and way more. It’s nice to have some extra stuff but in all fairness it’s not needed to make great music on the force.
