the progression within 2.x has been good; nobody took issue with the progress within 2.x OS.

People are taking issue with some of the changes from 2.x to 3.x; some the 3.x changes seem ill advised.

ITs All Trial n Error. We were the Beta Testers. Now they're hastily pushing the New Firmware/Software prematurely. Bcz Time is Money lol

I wish Akai & other companies would be more open about that. In the 3.4.3 update video the Crates Motel did, Akai kinda admitted that it's still in beta. I do like that they are still supporting a 8 year old unit & even the the Force, which hasn't been updated since Nov 2023, but still way more stable than MPC 2&3.

I still think MPC 3 at the moment on this gen is just a bonus OS to test new features to get feedback to know how they should build the gen. Time will tell...

Yeah, but they claimed the current version is officially out at NAMM, but it's not according to that Conan video. Plus you can argue that that Force is a beta product to test out MPC3. Even MPC2 seem like an ongoing beta OS with all the bugs.

as a 2.x holdout.. the 3.x release has been great for my MPC mental health.
knowing that they are abandoning 2.x updates... I never again will have to doublecheck their ridiculous patch note spew to verify basic functions every few weeks.
I can just get comfortable with the quirks and have no more monkey on my back about "maybe they'll fix/change X next round"

the additions in 3 just ain't worth the 'price'
