Live OG, version 2.13.

I have an occasional problem where a project will load properly, but then when I hit the play button, no audio. Usually, reloading the project works, and the project will play.

However, on Sunday I was doing a live show on a radio station with my mpc, and I loaded a song, and it didn't play. So I loaded it again, and it still didn't play. I skipped to the next song, everything worked fine. I went home, hooked everything back up, go to the same song, hit play, and everything worked properly.

Mama mia.

Anyone have a clue on what might cause this? Or how to avoid it? I use the setlist feature to load songs one after the other. I believe I've seen this happen even outside the set list, but it's been a while. Obviously this doesn't happen very often.

3.8 gig free, should be nothing but factory content... I'll poke around though. Thx.

maybe your Live just has stage fright? lol

but really, maybe do a bit more testing to see if you can reliably reproduce the issue. pretty hard to narrow it down without being a bit more definite.

Projects now load as a background process after leaving the browser, so for large projects you'll get no audio while those samples and audio tracks are still loading. Can take up to a minute on some projects. It's supposed to be a solution to the slow browser loading problems...not sure what's worse TBH.

Here's the workaround that I mentioned earlier. Someone else encountered the same problem (3 years ago), so they uploaded a video showcasing the workaround.

Huh. Thank you, that is interesting! It sounds like a more severe version of my problem - repeatable, too, whereas mine is not. But clearly related. I wish I knew more...

Sometimes that demo screen shortcut is pointed to a diff location, last saved location, and maybe not the correct path you think just because the name is the same.

The “work around” is not a workaround, it’s just loading a project.

I’ve used both ways to load projects, shortcut and direct path, never had the problem in the video. Right now, my demo screen is disabled.

As I stated, I am using the set list, not the demo screen.

welll.. the setlist feature is built on the "sounds" screen ... which was relatively new at that version and always had dodgy behavior. it's probably the problem ;)
