Hey anyone here make techno or glitch stuff on their mpcs ? A lot of the YouTube guys make hip hop and it’s hard to find some people making really hard techno on them

Here’s a link to the stuff I like To make with mine :)

If anyone makes stuff other than hip hop I’d love to see if you have stuff available online post it here
Cheers

I do, drum n bass, house, synthwave, bass, breakbeats, and stuff in between. At times the mpc isnt the best device for doing that stuff though, sometimes it's better as a sound generation tool plugged into a daw and resampled and imho a lot of hard techy electronic genres rely on manually programming and heavy use of automation which i dont find intuitive on the mpc itself. Kinda how I have been using my mpc lately rather than it being the central unit.

there is a lotta different music being produced other then hip hop on this forum

but yeah i would guestimate that at least 50% of dudes on this forum started off doing hip hop

but mpc obviously has the hip hop and house stereotype

I don't know what I'm doing, but it is not hip-hop: mostly internal synths and some external ones through MIDI, rarely some samples - mostly one-shot... Listening to synthwave is what convinced me to buy a MPC One - and then I slowly found that our device can make anything, and that I'm absolutely inconsistent !

Most tedious part is slicing the spoken word and then playing the whole book on the pads.

I get that & I guess you can pitch up the samples to speed them up temporarily, but the mere fact that someone even thought to use a MPC to make an audiobooks is some real next level shit. I don't know we should beat his ass or buy him a beer & a lap dance.

 Akai should use this audiobook making potential in their advertisements. It would be cool if we could read word documents like the manual & song lyrics on the screen.

Oh yes, akai should definitely develop this topic and make audio editing and post-production easier. Even automatic fade-in and fade-out after cutting a fragment should be the norm. Deeser would also be useful. I won't mention tools for mastering such productions. And tools for intelligent removal of clicks or too loud breathing are just a dream. The ability to display text for reading should be easier to implement in mpc :)

If they add the manual it would be cool if we could use the pads in all the banks as bookmarks. Ai click removal tools would dope.
