Long time member under a new account. I came across 5 pages from what seems to be from the MPC X service manual.

Google phrase az01crc01a, which is the file name for one of the MPC X / ACV5 boards.

One page pops up with 5 pages from the manual. I have no idea how long it will be there.

Hopefully a person knowledgeable about electronics can make use of it.

What's the possibility to having hdmi out using schematics from one of the service manual pages?

Thanks

HDMI implemented on carrier board is one thing, enabling this output with software side is another, It can be done - for sure!, but i'm in doubt that inmusic software developers left any hdmi code in OS that runs mpc app on top of it.

Don't worry about that - that schematic is there for approx two years already - if you dig deeper, you'll find force amongst others as well :-D

BTW:
75% of graphics content on MPC is in .png format which already have set resolution. therefore it's not easily scalable without distorting that content, especially when MPC runs 16:10 aspect ratio vs 16:9 on typcal hdmi tv/monitor.

Making that work in software isnt too tough. Would need the compile .ko modules for the kernel relating to the hdmi chipset. as long as the hardware components are in place and the circuit is complete. I've done some really fun stuff with the mpc like build cdrom and dvdrom drivers for the kernel and plug them then stuff a disk in and load stuff into my project. If anyone has the technical skills in relation to the hardware side and can verify their hdmi cuircuit is infact in place and operable (on a scope for instance) i'd be willing to help in getting the drivers going for them. who knows maybe mpc-x on a mirrored screen would be dope.

Thanks all for the replies. I am hoping these couple of service pages can help with our machines. I know the full-service manual has been difficult to get a hold of.

The carrier board on my MPC X that connects the TFT+CTP (screen and touch panel) to the main board is damaged on the FPC/FFC connector. The backlight comes on and touch works but the screen is off and shows no graphics. Bought 3 different FPC 0.3 Pitch 31 Pin ribbons. Still a no go.

Akai Pro / Inmusic wants $800 USD plus tax and shipping for all the boards, when I think I may need just need the one board. So, I have been trying to search online in pursuit to find the full MPC X service manual, as well as trying to find an alternative TFT+CTP panel just in case it’s the screen that is the issue.

For now I will have to use my MPC2500.

Thank everyone!

Believe me, I am in some internal mind battle state - thinking about exchanging my live 2 to 2500 SE with paid JJ os. and I don't know it is a good or bad idea.

I have an mpc x with this same problem.

on this little schematic i see that R181 is for - voltage for BL and R180 for + voltage for Backlight, check what voltage is on this rail

on J10 connector 1-3 is for plus, 5-8 for minus

I would say do both but I just seen people asking $1800 for a regular MPC2500 on ebay, which is pretty crazy.

I am starting to see post online with the blank screen issue more and more as the MPC X ages. I seems the Immusic machines aren't "Tank" built like the MPC's of old.

And for that reason i'm stil looking to get X with this issue, i'd love to open this up and do some diagnostics on my workbench.

What I want to know is when did the ASR10 all of a sudden get this god-tier reputation over everything else and start costing around $2K?? Seems like every single one on Reverb now is around this range when you can pick up loaded EMU's and even S1000s for $500.. Hell people can't even give away Roland samplers nowadays haha.

Probably a comfortable keyboard for people who've been using it for 3 decades. To us its like "wtf i want that for?" but if you got one in 1992 and been using it since its probably like "ah ol bessy, me and you girl me and you." I STILL use the microkorg as my primary keyboard so I can kinda imagine other people doing the same thing, find that one keyboard that does all the magic you desire and then just stick with it forever.
