New Keybed for MPC Key 61?? Is it possible to mod?

Hi peeps, I just was wondering, is it possible to mod the Key 61 and install a better keybed on it? I remember either on here or on Reddit, someone had linked a company that makes keyboard beds that are very high quality and feel great. How difficult would it be to buy something like that and swap it into the 61? Helpful replies are always appreciated. L8r.

Yeah! That was the website! "Fatar" keybeds. Damn that sucks that it can't be done. I wonder if that famous MPC repair guy in LA could gerry rig it. At that point the cost probably wouldn't be worth it IF it were even possible. Thanks for the reply.

No, not even close to worth it.. but if you need great keys on a workstation the fantom has really good keys.. nord are crazy if you don't need a million sounds.. or just hook up a fatar board with midi.. fatar are really the best.. I use my prophet 6 to play my mpc sometimes and it works great.

Even if you could put a hammer action keyboard... Is the juice worth the squeeze?

I'd go for a One/Live and a very good separate keyboard. Kawai are my favorites when it comes to key action, but that's a personal choice.

This is why I was so anti mpc key when it came out. Theoretically its a good idea to build a keyboard work station, but it's inmusic... murpheys law rules. hey are the cheapest sacks of shit when it comes to their keyboards. Oddly enough their drum pad tech is nice even the cheap stuff go figure. Remember scott storch and the mpc key? he had photos with it where he looked disgusted by touching it.

I opened up my key61 and put some extra key dampner in which made it a bit better. Was too clicky before.
