While totally possible, thomann lists things as discontinued all the time when they just can't get them, they just did that with the octatrack and a bunch of others... I wouldn't take that as meaning anything.

New unit launched at Superbooth in 2 weeks. 8GB of RAM and processor upgrade. A few different buttons. Form factor is the same, but no speaker. Instead of speaker everything is shifted down and has 8 Q links across the top with displays like the Force/ X. Its called the Akai MPC Live III. Has a battery. Intergrates with the APC64 seamlessly so you have pads and clip launch etc like the Force. Retail is 1599.

Alsp the side flips opens and a mini MPC slides out that you can load any VST onto via a serial port.


Somebody is going to run with this like its real and eventually we'll see an influencer on youtube speculating about this as a future mpc
