This is the sound we want. its purer in tone when you jog it. Analog records and good cartridges. Strong direct drive dj deck with 3-5 kilograms of torque so they pull like a hobart mixer.

i should probable add a VCA (fader) into the mix because what i do is audio scrubbing ; jogging a sample back & forth, but real DJs cut the audio when going reverse i believe

It depends on the scratch, lots of backward movement too. like in that full clip before the drop he just baby scratch scrubs it back n forth double time. If you want a "wick-wick-whack!" type scratch then you'd cut on the reverse action and only hit on the start of the sample twice with a "push scratch" and 3rd time let it play out.
