Hi, I'm trying to load several short audio clips/loops (just WAV files exported from my DAW) into the Force in matrix mode, and then be able to trigger them to play back unmodified.
Unfortunately, the Force insists on messing around with the tempo (BPM) of the original clips, which I don't want it to do. This is likely because it notices that these WAV files are at different BPMs and it's trying to be "helpful" by time-stretching those clips, which I don't want it to do.
Here's an example:
- Project tempo is set to 120 BPM
- Clip 1 is at 120 BPM and plays back just fine
- Clip 2 is at 100 BPM and plays back faster (time-stretched), but I want it to play at the original 100 BPM
I went into the sample editor and manually entered the BPM of clip 2 at 120 (assuming that the Force will leave it alone if it thinks it matches the project tempo), but that didn't help.
This seems like such a simple task, just playing back WAV files as they are, but I must be overlooking something.
How can I get the Force to do this?
