Sinners is damn good movie. The problem is so many people think it’s just a good VAMPIRE movie. Lol

On topic. I think the new hardware will obviously be a new live but tailored the layout to mpc3. Nothing ground breaking or really new to the line. They’ll probably just update the specs and give it Reverb Pro and call it a game changer

jeeez...really promised myself I'll stop with that and really didn't want to do it but this thread is such a dumpster fire that it make me want to come back in a month time, when we all love each other again lolol
on that note, here's a side quest for you guys:

It seems that it will have 16CV outs - new force firmware contain an updated CV TUI that facilitates a device with 16 outs.

B-Wise wrote:Ok, it looks like Akai is making something again. Will it have more dedicated buttons for MPC3/4?
Side notes: Now that the Force has most of the MPC features that it was missing & the MPC many of the Force features, will they ever both share the OS version like both having 3.5? or will it always be different like the new MPC OS will be 3.6? or will they have Force3.5 & MPC3.5 that's independent but very similar?
This shit kept me up last night :? What do you guys think?
I'll make a thread about my next question about clips.

It's done... They're merged already. Two lines of products one OS. both 3.4 and 3.5 executables are nearly identical (i'm having both opened as we speak) obviously 3.5 is a step up from 3.4 but most of the stuff you can find on both versions (including stuff for 3.x desktop sw). Best thing is that by the looks of things - the force will work with desktop as well, worst news is that it looks like the system might become "modular" meaning there might be "purchaseable" addons - don't quote me on that but strings like:
"project use advanced keygroups but the feature is not licensed" or
"project uses advanced q-links but the feature is not licensed" doesn't look optimistic. I mean, keygroups and qlinks are the stuff that we have already but it looks like there is some sort of feature licensing convo going on. On the side note, we will get integrated preset and expansion store as well lolol

Sinners sound cool & I think you're right about this new MPC. It's too early for a new gen. The beta software hasn't even come out yet.

Maybe they let the Force have it week in the sun first. Than after the Memorial Day here in States, they'll drop the new MPC beta for the PC. I think they are gonna let the Force be part of it since after MPC3 & Force3.5 there no reason I can see why it can't be.

Fek man, i wonder keyboard might actually come to us... They would restore my faith in doing so. I've been pissing and moaning about wanting a force keyboard and holding out on buying anything since the first leaked images. It would bring a tear to my eye to see it.

I can't say anything about Reverb pro because it seems to be an unreleased plugin but Ether.... WHOOOOOAH BUDDYYYYY

Regarding the modular thing that you said, maybe this is part of the beta program and these beta features still have a license that needs to be entered in order to be unlocked, (pretty much like the MPC 3 beta where it needs a license key at that stage, despite being free)

B-Wise wrote:What are you pointing out here? The Force always had computer mode.

I might read too much into this but to me it means the force will work with desktop sw, it's a pretty much same codebase as MPC which means that naturally it's able to communicate with desktop sw as the mpc counterpart. :-D

ether - 2 instances
sprite - 2 instances
reverb pro - 4 instances
pure data - doesn't work at all but limit set to 8 instances

Yeah, it's most likely a message set to display on legacy systems which doesn't have "advanced stuff" yet, but on the other hand, stems might tell you otherwise, who knows ? anyway this message ended up in the final (non-beta - can we even call it this way ?) fw on MPC, but looking at the amnount of legacy leftovers on the firmware, I'm not surprised lol

Hey what's going on here?
I am trying to understand between all this bullshits and slang words you wrote....

Reverb PRO???
Ether???

Is it tons of fake news or are they really coming to MPC?

That would be a big game changer.
By dustyslices Sun May 25, 2025 11:07 pm
All three are in force fw 3.5, on mpc 3.4 there is Reverb pro only atm.
Those plugins are too cpu hungry to run unrestricted, hence they put limit of two insances per project on them.
Reverb Pro seems to be a bit more lightweight with limit of 4 instances only.
Will they release them ? I'm pretty sure about Reverb pro, the other ones might be there to check on how much more they can push it. Even if they won't release ether/sprite, rvb pro will be more than a sufficient addon imho

I just wanted you to know the Force PC mode isn't a new 3.5 feature. It's just let's you connect to a PC for file management, which should be done in standalone. The file system need to be improved on both platforms.
