I got the email, and you can access it from your Inmusic account as of today! I saw it can be used with the studio mk 2 as well as the standalones. It also shows the vst 3 is enabled too. It does not have all the features as it is a beta, but it is a good step in the right direction!

it is also listed on the mpc software page on akai's website, it is listed with a beta link on top. The reason i got the email is due to my listed mpc studio mk 2, and it is listed in my personal online inmusic log in account as well, under the link for mpc 2.15.1. software download.

Also, the download wasn't in my Key 37 section, had to scroll down to my old Live 2. Hopefully that helps some doofus like me.

And it has the same bugs and defeaturing as the firmware:

1. No switchable time signatures
2. No independent track mutes per sequence.
3. Old MPC files using independent track mutes in song mode are broken.

Plus:

4. MPC 3 will not load in Cubase, Studio One, and Ableton Live as a VST.

I’m sure there are others. One step forward, two steps back.

I Got it , and i'm happy that they have vst3 support now.

Exciting stuff! Seems to have most things I've been looking forward too. VST3 support and automation on sub mixes. Does it run side by side with 2.15... or is it an update? I'm reluctant to try it in case anything gets FUBAR with my current projects, and by the sounds of it I might just wait till it's out of BETA at least.

MPC 3 standalone is officially out of beta according to Akai, but it clearly is still very much a beta and riddled with new and legacy bugs and missing features. MPC Software 3 is also likely to follow the exact same path, I assume this is the way Akai will now roll with these things (for the time being at least), i,.e. a permanent unofficial beta status while claiming it's a stable release so they can champion it at Summer NAMM or whatever marketing event comes closest.

MPC Software 3 has only been released in the current state as they wanted to honour the promise that it would be available in May, but IMO this is absolutely not at the level of 'public beta', far too much missing and too many issues. They should have run it on private beta for a few more revisions IMO.

vst3 support, awesome. It works, diva, and smaller, unknown brands. All works.

These bugs were when I used the MPC One + 3.5 in standalone mode with MPC 3.5 software.

1. Empty VST3 Presets.
Empty VST3 Presets show empty on PC. You can save them on MPC hardware and software, and load, but once done, it shows empty.

2. Audiomixdown silent audio file.
After converting to sequence, and from the arranger screen to the menu, to save to Audiomixdown at the default, just add 3 seconds. It writes an empty audio file. saved in a new folder under
C:..... ./documents/mpc3/stefsamples/.. tried 2 times. Then I tried exporting the song instead, and that worked successfully. It's still different because the song mode is different from the compiled (conv-seq) sequence of the song if edited.

3. Each time I change the TC, the pads return to bank A.
While recording, I change the TC sometimes, and each time after that, the pads are set to bank A.

4. still blue bootscreen wifi... after new help screen with QR code. need to go through 3 splash screens
to boot.

5. Chords Pro/ W.A. Production, it's a VST3 that outputs MIDI. i wonder how it would work on MPC 3.5?
Kontakt 8 can output MIDI too but I haven't got it to work in MPC 3.5

thank you :)

ps: I successfully loaded a project made on MPC One+. in MPC 3.5 software with MPC in standalone mode :)

I would like to see chord inversions, low mid high root etc...

It's definitely buggy and glad to see that it may be compatible with the studio (hopefully the earlier one not the new one) but i can't actually see or control any parameters from my screen or q links but if i hit a pad i do hear sounds.

Yes, I'm wondering if routing has been sorted in version 3. Both audio and midi routing between plugins (sidechain etc, ...) on different channels/pads and busses is desperately needed to keep up with modern DAW requirements. Then I could actually use things like Trackspacer and those EQ plugins that work together when put across multiple tracks.

Granted, I'm stupid when I'm angry, but I can't find a bug report thread for this desktop version via search or the menu. Also, the bug report link in the software goes to an empty page on the Akai site :hmmm:

he wasw lost lmao
