Out Now! I've just released a new update for MPC Bible 3 (Revision 2) which adds support for the latest MPC firmware 3.5.

This update also adds a new workshop covering note counter modulation and bipolar/unipolar modes, plus a workshop that explains global vs independent acting envelopes & filters in advanced keygroups. There's also various minor updates throughout the course, including changes to various screenshots for MPC3.5 compatibility.

Does one need to re-install the expansions, or are they still the same in REV 1?

thank you for the update!

I suppose you've got a lot of work to do. Particularly because now there will be MPC 3.6 users with and without the MPC Pro Pack and Live III users with many additional HW / SW features to be considered.

Thanks, it's important to point out that the MPC Bible only covers the features available 'out of the box', the ones which are available across all supported hardware models, that way the tutorials are suitable for everyone, it's a 'universal' standalone MPC course.

That's why I don't currently use features like stems or any of the premium plugins in the tutorials, nor any hardware specific features (beyond offering some workarounds for lack of dedicated buttons etc).

So the next MPC Bible update will be to ensure the existing course works with any of the current standalone models running MPC 3.6, using the 'factory' features available to all the models, which will include the MPC Live 3.

But beyond that I'm not decided how to move forward with support for the gen2 hardware (I assume there will eventually be more models incoming), nor the ever growing range of premium add ons (of which there is clearly no end to).

I have existing rough frameworks for 'masterclass' courses covering select premium plugins (e.g. Jura, MiniD, Stems etc) and topics such as live performance, etc, just not had the time to begin work on them!

You should make the MPC Apocrypha edition for all the premium stuff.

Just purchased the MPC Bible 3. Thank you for putting this together. Working through the book now, just noticed a tiny typo: Page 64: Press the [MENU] hardware button to being up the MENU screen; Should be "bring" As I work through it, is this the right place to pop things like that?

Hi Serge

Thanks, I really appreciate receiving stuff like this although it's better to email me with anything like that as I have a list of all pending updates flagged in one place within my emails. It's worth pointing out that I'm in the process of updating the book to MPC3.6 and the first thing I did was carry out a tonne of these types of little fixes so for example this error you've highlighted has already been fixed in my current 3.6 draft. In all honesty it would be better to wait until I release the 3.6 edition as it's very likely most of these would have already been addressed.

Thanks again for taking the time to highlight this.

Got it! Thank you. Great content so far; worked through about 200 pages and even after binge watching YouTube picking up lots of great nuggets. What a comprehensive, super helpful guide/tutorial/learning tool.

Good job Tutor!! I still use the live3 like a live 2, so this update will be helpful in getting a muscle memory with these new features..
