MPC 2000XL + AKAI S3000XL + SP-404SX MIDI & Audio Setup

I want to use the MPC 2000XL to trigger and sequence samples from a S3000XL rack sampler. But I also want to use a SP-404SX in the signal chain to color the samples from the S3000XL as they are being triggered and recorded into a sequence on the MPC. What is the correct MIDI and audio setup to achieve this?

S2800 audio out into 404sx inputs. 404sx outputs into your mixer, or if you want to resample the results then plug a cable from your 404sx in the mpc.
