When you spend your liquidity on intangible assets you're putting money to sleep. Cash money is merely property in transit, rich people don't keep money in liquid they invest into shit to shelter it from inflation or entities nosing around at their total worth. Most of them cant tell you what they got because its invested in assets, housing, comodities, fasion, tech, healthcare, areospace etc etc. The logic applies to every thing we buy. Folks who keep their fortunes in the bank are folks who don't know what money is for. It's a liquid state of solid assets or potential assets. However when in liquidity its subject to recalibration via inflation driven by unstable markets and governments. Solid wealth is a life vessel. Netflix, hulu, disney, itunes, spotify all that shit is renting you access and raking in billions of dollars diverted away from peoples ownership its sad. People rent access to the internet to rent services to gain access to media they can buy on tangible media at cornerstores and garage sales for peanuts. The world has gone crazy.

Plan beyond the mpc its an interchangable piece of hardware that will eventually be outdated and everything you spent on this unit will be lost in time. Right now you are renting the use of those plugins you dont even own it permanently. Let that really sink in.. you didnt buy nada. you hold nothing you have nothing to resell and unless you renew your plugin validations you dont get to use them. You are renting them. Everyone seems to think they have ownership of the plugins, no they have entitlement of access to the plugins.

That is not an improvment its a diversion of wealth away from ownership.

That can be said with anything in life. So never spend or invest.

dustyslices wrote:[..you have the pricing model which is completely out of wack: introduction price $49 goes to sale at $29 and that goes to $79 (with rsp of $129) later on but only for a week because of another "last chance sale" is at $49 again just to go back to sale of sale at $29.

Current regulations in the EU state that the 'was' price shown in the promotion must the lowest price sold in the previous 30 days, not the RRP. So take the 'keys collection', here's the sale history on the various plugin sites (disclaimer: cannot vouch for the accuracy of that musicsoftwaredeals site)

https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/price-hi ... usic-tech/

As you can see, the 'was' price, i.e. the lowest price in previous 30 days should be advertised as $124, not $250. Jura appears to have been sold at $69 continually since march 3rd, not the claimed $150 .

And according to that site, 'Ring the alarm' has never been sold at the claimed 'was' price of $29. Should be $25. I believe you can show a new RRP in the discount calculation, but you have to clearly state that 'the product has been recently offered at $25' or similar wording.

You seen really fixated on what rich people do.. I'm pretty sure though that while many of them have important investment strategies.. they still probably have fun too.. I mean eating at a restaurant is not the cheapest way to survive but we all still do that sometimes.. it is not always about what is the better wealth strategy..

And I think Akai is decent enough so that when a new generation comes and for some reason is not built on the same plug ins already available, I think they will release already purchased licenses.. I don't know this, but why wouldn't they? Taking then back would really piss off a lot of customers for no real reason..

Has anyone got these working on 2.15? It says they’re compatible with anything higher than 2.14 but they’re not even showing up in the activation list (they do on 3.5 but I’m not using that)

Although I wouldn't rule out the system not syncing up. I connected my MPC One to the Ethernet cable to update to 2.15 the other week and Multiband Filterbank that I got when it came out months ago free, wasn't showing in my activations until a couple of reboots, I started to think it was 2.15 compatible.

I don't think I'll get SPRITE, I don't think I should have got Flavor Pro (not knocking it, it's not really my sort of thing.

Ether would be useful though, so I'll wait until someone confirms getting it working in 2.15. Maybe we have reached the point where the new plug-in are compatible with 2.15, which may not be a bad thing for me, and I can just stop with my system as it is. But if it also means Akai don't make money on those not adopting V3, it's and incentive for them getting everyone happy to adopt it.

Sorry, I saw the email bundling them together for $49.99, and hadn't checked them individually on Air Music site for 29.99. along with SUMMER10 code $26.10.

I sent the question why its not available on 2.15 to support earlier today, but didnt get any confirmation email, nor support ticket number nor reply, and now dont even remember where on their byzantine websites jungle I sent that.

Maybe you want to try that too and report back.

Fuggin right i am broski, I love owning stuff. I been both extremes. I can't learn much from people who don't do or have shit. They've never helped me elevate my position in life. Not once. Wealthy ppl go "oh i like you you're like me you like dope shit c'mon over we will take my speed boat out." while broke mfs lookin for ways to rob you so they can buy trash with the loot.

Both Ether and Sprite seem to be quite competent for the sound design space.

I'd edge out Ether a bit more in being useful, but Sprite has that "doing several things at the same time" vibe that Flavor Pro has... where you can just drop Sprite down and tweak a few settings to get a sound going that you might find useful. I'm not a huge fan of the Sprite layout, and the interface does feel a bit needlessly wasteful for the sake of hitting a graphical theme... but I'm pretty sure I'll get over it.

System confirmed a ticket was raised, but no email received either. Raised my ticket under Pre Sales, instead of technical support. I don't know if that changes anything in how they log there calls.
