I would do exactly what you said in the last paragraph. Add additional Tracks.

[(Seq 1) Track 1: Bass1 ] ... [(Seq 2) Track 2: Bass2] ... So on and so on....

Kinda Overkill but it beomes 2nd Nature after awhile. Its not like we're gonna run out of Tracks to create. (Is it still 128 Tracks available?) lol

I could do that more comfortably on my laptop, no need for the MPC...

The old workflow was designed around the hardware.
The new workflow was pressed into the hardware. And doesnt fit. imho.

Strange choice of sounds for the Ether in Conan's review for me, I get percussive sounds highlight a reverb tail, but it's more a musical tail on a Shimmer style Verb . I'd use it more as a pads machine on a main send, feeding melodic and harmonic content, to fill out space with lush and interesting textures, which would change as parts com in and out.

Interesting to see Sprite has a pitch function that targets the reverb, I hadn't picked up on that. Kind of makes it seem like a half way combination of both Ether and Flavour Pro.

Although I don't know why I'm looking, as I'm not on 3.5

A little peek won't hurt, if you're really set on 2.0. But like Conan said, these aren't new FXs, so you should be able to find videos of the software showing people using it in the way you mentioned. If you have a GAS problem it may be best not to look any further.

I seem to be pretty much on top of my GAS nowadays, just a couple of bits of software at Black Friday, no hardware synths in a year and half, so $26.10 would be a fairly guilt free experience. It's more my procrastination problem I need to get in check.

Yes, I believe akai have now fully embraced the UAD/Waves/Yurt Rock model of perpetual sale events with made up RRPs with some ludicrous % discount, supplemented with additional promo codes or 99.9% off bundles etc. Becomes a bit of a game which people seem quite happy to play (ATM at least - surely it's not sustainable).

Props to the companies who just set a fair price and stick with it throughout the year.

A set fair price would be ideal, this constant sale tactic is like that local shop that's been going out business for the last 10 years with its worn out "EVERYTHING MUST GO!," sign in the window.

For most of 2024 Ugritone was running a ‘going out of business at the end of the year’ sale and, shock horror, come Jan 2025 they magically found a solution to stay in business. Seems like they got away with it as well, didn’t appear to be any particular backlash. Pretty sure 10 years ago any business pulling a stunt like that would never have been trusted again. These days people just shrug their shoulders and carry on
