Hi ..Wondering if anyone has had any problems with 3.5 beta? Ever since the update it’s been crashing loads , like when I open old projects , load plugins , and sometimes just randomly . Also when I try to shut down it takes me on an annoying loop .. I love the new update otherwise and i know it’s beta but just wanted to put this out there .. I can’t see anything about it online so maybe it’s just me !?

I've not updated mine yet.

In case of updating and potentially reverting, can earlier projects be loaded into 3.5?

I guess if so, worth saving to a new 3.5 folder or something so there's a copy left intact in case of reverting to an earlier FW. Is that what people are doing?

Any patterns to crashes observed? Eg use of certain plugins, audio interfaces etc?

Are people just sitting it out and waiting for an official release?

Yes you can load old projects on 3.5, buy the other way around according to akai. So it would be best to make a new 3.5 folder within the project folder when saving 3.5 projects or whatever works for you like saving to a new card.

Some people aren't participating in the 3.5 beta program. 3.5 is testing & sending bugs reports & feedback suggestions. It's not meant to be used a stable OS, so it's not recommended to be used in professional settings.

Ah, cheers. Good idea about a 3.5 folder within the original folder, dunno why I didn't think of that! :WTF:

I'm really liking the idea of using sequences within the Force, as that workflow on the MPC makes sense to me, and I've used it in live shows with a band in the past.

I have a small show coming up that I'm planning to use the Force for (mainly as a mixer and sample trigger, with an interface) so I might hold off until after that. Though I suppose I could dig out the Live for that instead - 3.5 is official rather than beta for MPCs I think, so presumably more stable?

Nope! The MPC 3.5 isn't all that stable & most MPC users treat it as it's still in beta that Akai rushed for NAMM. The Force has a track record for being more stable, but I wouldn't chance it for a live show, at least without a lot of time testing the hell out of it to know how buggy it can be & what may trigger bugs based on how you work.

I made sure to have 3.3 copy’s and finished an entire project without to much trouble. I’m talking 14 songs in this project. Did it go flawless? No. Did I manage to finish it? Yes.

Has anyone managed to get explode drum track to work ?

Edit
It only works with a populated drum track in the arranger.
