Internal drive for effect presets?

I never save anything that I generate to the internal drive (so expansions, projects etc are on an SSD).

However I recently made some effect presets. (And some chains too). As usual, the machine gave a default save location on the internal drive.

I did save those there, because I wasn't sure if that's where they need to be to be seen/accessible. Is that correct & wise, or can/should effect presets be saved elsewhere as well?

FX presets don't take up much space so you can, but I still I wouldn't. You can save the FX with the project & or, make a FX folder on the SSD for FX you plan to use on other projects as general FX presets.

Cheers both, I'll resave them as suggested.

Don't think the internal drive shows up as storage though, so I guess I can't delete what I have saved there.
