OK everything works, except for attaching a HDD to it, tried different sizes from 1TB to 256GB in SSD format, both formatted in the way asked from the manual. It just doesn't recognise it, this is now 3 drives I have tried, one being a HDD, other 2 SSD and are all fine from plugging into my computer. Wondered if this has happened to anyone, and even though I spent a week with it. Should I have warrant to raise an issue against the seller, who hasn't responded since?. I mean I assumed everything was working fine, and then decided to take the plunge and get a large SSD for my samples so I don't have to faff around with my computer.

EDIT: ON latest 3.5 FW too

If the drive bay doesn't work, and you wanted to use the drive bay, then yes you should raise an issue with the seller. Not sure where you bought it from, as this post sounds like a continuation of another post I haven't seen yet, but if you were lead to believe it was in working order and its not, then put in a dispute.

Just as a test to make sure the SSD isn’t faulty: put it in a USB hard drive enclosure and see if it can be seen and read when plugged into the USB port on the back of the Live. If so, then the drive is good and maybe the internal connector is faulty. When I recently downsized from my original MPC X to the One+ in February, I had to remove the SSD I had installed in my previous X and put it in an enclosure to use it with my One+. No issues at all switching to the new MPC.

The usb port is incapable of providing enough power to the drive.. you have to plug the drive into a power source or use a powered usb hub so you dont brown out the usb port.
