Hello,
There is a problem with my beloved 2kxl. After sometime spent on making beats I can hear a random burst of noise, sometime longer sometime just a short click - with reverberated tail (EB16 is installed) even if I don't route any pad to effects bus. No big deal, can live with that. But lately my mpc just weirdly crashed with loud continuous noise, no button works, no error message and this thing occured to me three times now in one day - so it's not a random crash.

Happened on os 1.20 and 1.14, with ram plugged in, and without ram, with CF inside and without drive.
memcheck is ok, one thing i did not tried yet was unplugging the EB16.

I've tried to reproduce this crash and found that if hold shift and change mode from sampling to trim quickly sometime i've got noise clicks (short and long) and twice i've got continous noise but without crashing the mpc.

I'm lost right now, anybody had this issue ?

HI again, i've took mpc apart, cleaned out and inspect all board for cracked solder joints, corrosion, everything suspicous, cleaned in and out from dust.
When connecting everything in the mpc i've realized that cable from mutec 8 out board has this twist like floppy drives cable, i've decided not to plug the 8out with this cable and leave it not connected, i need to find proper 34 pin ribbon cable without twist.

And... right now mpc is working, no clicks, no noise, im not using the 8 outs nor digital i/o anyway, looks like mutec 8out or this cable was causing problems.

I have this 34 pin cable somewhere in my "cables box", but right now need to finish beats for my ep, no mercy for old 2kxl, work needs to be done
