I'm not sure about other genres, but if you make boom bap hip hop, the Inphonik RX950 is pretty dope. I've been trying to get better at mixing and improving the sonics of my songs as of late and the first song I've gotten on with this newfound commitment was vastly improved sonically after putting it through the RX950. The RX1200 SP1200 sound plugin is pretty tight too! I don't work for Inphonik btw, I just think they made two blazing VST plugins with the ones I mentioned! L8r folks!

Yeah inmusic should get the 950 plugin and the 1200 plugin engine on the new mpcs. Alternative would be the sp950 plugin that blends the alisasing with a 950 filter
I run the rx950 on the s2400 and even there it is great.

New users shouldn't need to worry, but its great as long as you don't have to update from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3. 1.1.3 can't read any of the settings or presets from the earlier versions and will ruin any existing projects you've used it in.

How do you have plugins from Melda, etc on standalone? I think I might need to downgrade and hack this thing. How well do they work? :worthy:

It obviously IS NOT in Standalone mode. You can create skins for computer VSTS in Controller Mode and they will show up on the hardware, but it simply won't run the VST on the MPC itself, so you completely misunderstood what was going on in that video.

As an insert SP950 works better for me because I get to keep using whatever sampler I want to. Definitely agree on the RX950

Akai should make thier own & improve the SP1200 mode.

They obviously won’t when they can sell you a plugin for 30-50 quid.

I never said it had to be free, but lets bring that price down to $10-15, if it's done right. They kinda owe us the SP for free tho.

No disrespect man but AKAI don't owe us sh*t! They've given so much already free of charge and great discounts for amazing plugins. Them and Roland are my fave companies for that reason.

I said that based on poor of an emulation the SP plugins are. That joke triggered you to the point you're even bringing your love for Roland into it. :smoker:

Akai got thier good, bad & ugly. Unlike Roland Akai is supporting these current gen MPCs way longer than anything Roland made in the same time frame like the MC & TR series.
