Eight output board for the 2kxl question

Ok so I have a chance to snag up an 8 output board (Mutec) for the two thousand XL for relatively cheap.

It is missing the metal plate so I am wondering if it still can be installed properly.

Also, what do I need to look out for when adding the outputs. Is there anything, particularly about the Mutec, that I should be aware of.

I have mutec 8out board, the difference with og akai board is mutec is coming without base plate and cannot be screwed onto these copper posts inside of mpc, it is only assembled with nuts and washers on jack sockets to mpc back.
Another thing is the digital I/O - mutec uses jacks instead rca like akai does, mutec is made in germany and akai is japan made
People are saying that mutec is somewhat different in sound quality than akai og but idk if its better or worse.

So the Mutec is not fixed inside the MPC but through fixing the outputs with nuts? How well does that work?
I've also seen Mutec boards (although more expensive) with the base plate so I’m wondering if this cheap one isn’t just simply incomplete. I know that the base plate elevates the board a bit, so maybe there’s a screw on bit available for those copper posts to be able to attach the board?
Also if the jacks on the Mutec are obviously wider would they even fit the holes in the back or does this mean that I would need to make them bigger?

Well, 8out board without base plate is a little bit loose hanging only on the jack sockets but it works.
There is no need to make holes bigger, it fits as is.

Thanks for your help! I came across an affordable Akai board with plate and my 2kxl is nearing “fully loaded” status over 20 years after purchasing it (and having it sit in the attic for 15 years).

before You will power it on - check the power supply caps for degraded and leaky capacitors, 15 years without any voltage feed is not good for electronics

I'm courious if these new mpcs will still would run after 15 years of storage ?

Oh yeah thanks for the hint. I already have it up and running, soldered in a new fader and a few tacts, deoxited the rest, put in a zuluscsi.
EB16 is still working too, and the display is still so good
