Just switched over to ONE + from Live II -- nice pads!

So you can’t transfer files directly while connected to your computer. I usually just connect my external SSD to my Mac Mini and transfer files directly that I think I need, then eject the drive from the Mac and plug it into my One+, then power the MPC on. Minor inconvenience.

I’ve had no issue with this — the drives have been showing up on connection identically to my Live II

It *seems* that the larger the drive, the longer it can attach to mount. Plus there are differences between how Mac/Windows/Linux go about mounting a drive... so perhaps some people are hitting an issue and thinking it just doesn't mount? I know on my MPC it can take a while, but if given enough time, it has always usually mounted for me on my Live II

My understanding was that ever since the original MPC One came out that Akai deliberately hobbled this “feature” from the “budget” model. And it carried through to the One+.

For me, what it basically means is that on my former MPC X when I had it connected to my Late 2012 Mac Mini running the latest os it can run (OS X 10.15.7), the internal SSD drive I had installed and the SD Card would show up on my Mac Mini desktop when I switched the MPC into controller mode (whether or not I was running the MPC software). With my One+ in controller mode, these drives don’t show on the Mac desktop.

I’ve only tried on windows but they show up with the one+

I would be ok with the new mpc live 3 having the smaller pads of the MPC one
