Arrangements for MPC in fw 3.5, figuring it out

Each track has a single track arrangement.
Arrangement View off the Menu is all track arrangements stacked vertically.
Edits you make in the multi track arrangement view are just done to the affected tracks' arrangements.
This is unlike Ableton Live, which I am way more used to, where session mode is distinct from arrangement mode. There you can record from the session mode view and flip between scenes (MPC sequences) and mute/mix tracks etc and it gets printed to the arrangement view.
And if you want, in Live you can select a piece of the arrangement and make a scene from it.

And then on top of that, each one of those MPC multi-track arrangements is in fact the "sequence" so if you are chaining sequences together or making a song from sequences you get the whole arrangement as there isn't anything else.

Did I get that right?

The arrangement view in the MPC is another view of the seq, but with all the tracks in one window. The Force has 999 clip per 128 tracks & a separate arranger with a independent track, one for each of the 128 tracks. Now, in the Force 3.5 update there's 128 arranger seq but they all share the same clip-matrix. This let's you use the clips to create different arrangements.

In short the Force with its clips & matrix is closer to Ableton.

Got it, thanks. I'm using the MPC One.
I guess that's "interesting", I will have to figure out how to combine sequences with their arrangements. One thing seems for sure, is that you can't copy some part from one sequence to the other. Or can you?

I guess you can bounce anything to a sample and pick it up in a different sequence. Little wonky. So if you wish to have a "song" that has audio tracks that go the full length over sections comprising different sequences, you'd need to render off the sequences to a WAV and then pull them in as audio to a new track in a fresh sequence. Yeah?

I believe you are referring to "Copy Bars/Events"... Okay, it requires a bit of planning ahead, but I'll accept it. Will dig deeper. Thx.
