MPC One Q Link Name Change

Hi,

I recently got my hands on an MPC One and I’m in the process of setting up my Q Links on a default patch. I am using an external synth (Microkorg) and while I can control Midi CCs, my MPC defaults to incorrect names for the Q links. Things like “send 2” for adjusting chorus level, etc.

While I’m sure I can build muscle memory, I’m curious to know if I can edit the names of these Q links in the program section of the Q link edit menu.

Any help is greatly appreciated

You can change Qlink names in MPC3, but I don't think is possible in MPC2.

Thanks for the help! When I got the MPC, it was on 2.7.1 if that helps. Are there any major changes between versions I should be aware of? Like any functionality that won’t be available after I update?

Yes, MPC3 is a huge change, too many new features and overhauls to list, check this forum for all the discussion and check Akai's release notes for more details. MPC 2.15.1 is the last MPC2 version, you should at least update to that. You can also update to MPC 3.5 and if you hate it you can install 2.15.1 again.
