I would duplicate the Sequence. Change things around to how I like it. And save the project with the added Sequence. I dont necessarily have to use that old Sequence in my track.

Since they removed the save sequence, I would just open the Project with the sequence I would like to have exported, and then "Save As" the whole project. Trim away all the Other sequences from that project, and build on the new Project.

If i'm understanding you guys problem....

I guess you don't understand why I need it. I am a musician who plays live and if I have for example 10 songs in the plan for a set and if each will be in the project, it is not realistic to mix them, I'm not talking about the fact that you have to wait until the project is loaded. That's why I want to do it through sequences, but it turns out that in each sequences remains everything from the previous one, and for example the first track contains a drum rаck with its samples, a couple of instruments from pugins and audio, the next already with a new drum rаck and audio and so on, in the end it is all in all sequences. But before it was so that you could have one drum rаck and plugins in the first sequences, and in the second sequences there were other ones and the first ones were not displayed.

in fact, it looks like they are watching how the industry evolves and maybe in the next updates we will see this feature. So akka in principle the release of such a version 3.5 where a lot of things already quite well expands the possibilities of creating music, it remains to add a few features for playing in live and the price of it will not be.

I really like, for example, how on his concert uses Cory Henry

A TEN SONG Live Set? Yikes!!! lol Time to invest in a 2nd or 3rd MPC to keep your performance protected, free from somethin bad happening during your performance.
I still can;t understand why you are not able to have a set of sequences/tracks dedicated to one "Song" in a Project!
If I were to Pre-Plan lets say 20 Sequences with FIVE empty Empty Drum Tracks each Sequence, That's 100 Individual Tracks to program into your 10 song set.

With that scenario...already Templated out, the Sequences Wouldn't Interfere with each other?

Yeah, I'm sticking on 2.15 as the reason why I bought the MPC was for this functionality.

I wish they would implement a live mode, even if it meant losing some functionality like disc streaming (which another poster said the developers alluded would only come if they switch up to track formats)

But I'm not expecting that, seems too big a jump. Unless something with developing the Force crosses over. On the plus side, no more new plug ins to spend money on.

sounds encouraging)

Interesting discussion, I ended up with the same limitation. :(

Live impossible to switch project, the full set is to remain in 1 project, with (part of) songs in different sequences.

I'm now working on all my songs in 1 master project and I'll have to save as new project and rearrange all sequences following the setlist. (cumbersome)

I'm limited by types of plugin and drum instruments, to not overload CPU. Limited by 8 audio tracks as well.

Just allowing to export/import a sequence to another project would improve my workflow drastically.
Please keep me posted if new insights arise. Thanks!

Akai need to make some sort of Gig/Multi-Project mode that addresses the current limitations like 8 audio/plugin tracks for multiple beats in 1 project.

I think a multi-project mode is what's next. This will let us instantly switch thru different projects while in the same project. Now song mode can be used to sequence your whole set. Each project will have their own audio/plugin tracks but you obviously only be in project at a time.

Will verly likely require them to make a major boost of the hardware specs in terms of CPU and I/O speed for new hardware.

Maybe...

Exactly!!! I would definitely not Put My Live Performance's Faith into ONE MPC Machine! I'm not a Live Performer..BUT...If I did attempt to put it together, I would have like THREE MPCs lined up. lol

I’ve been performing with the new MPCs for years now. Never once had an issue. Not doing anything elaborate just your typical pressing play and hype man shit tho

Because they are idiots and completely violated the entire workflow of the mpc. anyone who thinks otherwise isnt an MPC user. I am on 2.15 and there it will stay indefinitely. Same with my inmusic brand digital turntables, i wont update those either i have more good in my current set up than they are offering now.

You’re not wrong

Yeah I’m not going to 3.whatever. And that means they lost future business from somebody who has been a customer for almost 3 decades. How much you wanna bet any new hardware will be tied to mpc3.
