Hello, I wonder if someone could help me?

I’ve recorded a custom ARP Pattern and saved as MIDI. I now want to use the ARP but have the pattern repeat for the full chord and not just a single note. Is there a way of doing that?

Apologies if this is a simple question, I’m a newbie and still learning about the machine.

Thanks
Jim

If I’m understanding correctly, you can’t create Arpeggio Patterns, but you can create Patterns.

When turning Arpeggios on, you can select “Pattern” instead of Arpeggio. I’m not sure your pattern will show up there with the stock OS, but there is a list of patterns to choose. You hold down a single root note pad/key and it plays the pattern based on that key.

Patterns are not intelligent like Arpeggios, so they don’t follow chords (maj/min) they just play back a looped midi pattern.

Hope that helps.

Ok I know what I’m looking for now. Can anyone help me with this?

I want to create a custom ARP Rhythm so that when I play a chord on my MPC Key 37, it is played as that rhythm. I don’t want the individual notes to play arpeggios, I want the chord to be played as a rhythm.

Is that possible? The stock choices are not good for what I want to do so was hoping to be able to create custom ones.
