Support and discussion for all of Akai’s modern standalone MPCs including the MPC X / X SE, MPC Live 1, 2 & 3, MPC One / One+, MPC Key 37/61.

They ain't gonna fix sh*t.
Well.. Maybe.. But I highly doubt it.
I think they would rather make sales on plugins/samplepacks than make the production usable in the way it was intended back in the 80s/90s.
Akai lost their damn mind.

The only way to MAKE someone listen is to hit 'em in the pockets. Not enough are willing to do that, so, it's a lost cause bitchin about it without action, stop buying the products, period. It's been too many years running with this GLARING bug, from a machine that's rooted from MIDI PRODUCTION CENTER.

Yeah I sold all mine.
I just stop by sometimes to see what they have added to updates and such.
Still curious on what's going to happen, but not that curious to invest in akai anymore(besides vintage).

All good though.

Call me delusional, but I trust that they'll fix it in the next update.

Not delusional at all. Your trust is just as valid as the distrust.

The only way to hit Akai in the Pockets...is if all the New Upcoming Beatmakers still use Outboard Equipment. That ain't happening lol. So far Akai's Sales come from "All In The Box" type Beatmakers...OR users coming from a DAW type environment with Plugin Instruments. Akai already has the Old School Players money, who still use Outboard Equipment :smh:

Money In The Bank. We're Last Priority :fku:

They may come around and fix the MIDI Note Bug. Akai wants to Starve the Old Schoolers out. Steer us towards PURCHASING Expansion Packs that replicate our OutBoard Equipment.

Bottom Line.... :smh:

We are talking about incoming notes bug though, not controlling outboard equipment which works fine.

That would be nice, there are some midi bugs, also note mapping telated that make my life complicated

oh, and it appeared on release notes from 2.11.9 so maybe 2.11.8 does not have it? I was under the impression it was way older than this.

I have decided to downgrade so can anybody confirm if 2.11.8 has this bug?

I believe it was introduced around 2.9 or perhaps even earlier, it just took akai a year or two to acknowledge it

Seriously considering going back to an MPC1000, midi sequencing on the MPC One is a joke.
No note-off nonsense on JJOS I'll bet

You'd use an MPC1000 as a multi-timbral sampler? MPC3 sequences midi out fine, it's when you try to use the MPC as a multi-timbral instrument the bug stops you. That's my understanding, anyway.

I use a lot of external synths including multitimbral ones, if I want to layer the note-off bug is killing things.
I may as well dust off the MC500.
