Keygroup Track Switching

Hello everyone,

I’m on Firmware v3.5 with the Akai Force, using Follow Actions to automatically advance Scene Rows in a session that has multiple Keygroup tracks. What I want is: when each scene launches, I want the Force to automatically select (or arm) a specific Keygroup track (so I can just play live with an external keyboard, hands-free switching).

Does anyone know if this is possible in v3.5? I can’t find any setting or menu for this behavior. I tried using Snapshots but that didn’t work. Any help / workaround is appreciated!

Try an external hardware MIDI router/switcher.

im not sure a router switcher will work. How would I have this select a keygroup track? so that differnt key groups can be played for different parts of a song.

You have all the keygroup tracks monitoring all the time, each with its own MIDI channel or preferably even a separate MIDI interface (because of the MIDI note-off bug), and with the external router/switch you select where the notes go from your keyboard.
