No sound on project FORCE

Hello everyone,

I'm having a major problem with a project. I have no sound from my speakers or headphones.

Everything looks fine on the project: the clips, the mixer's VU meters, but no sound comes out, just a tiny bit when I turn up the headphone volume.

The problem appeared suddenly and persists even after rebooting and loading the project.

I've tried everything: resetting the preferences, updating the firmware, but nothing works...

However, if I load another project, everything works fine.

I don't know what to do anymore...
Have you ever experienced this problem?

Is it your que mix on the front maybe? Oh just saw it isn’t on other projects. There isn’t any mute going on on the main out? Look at the mute track to be sure.

Thanks for your reply. It works fine on other projects. There's no mute enabled.

Check all the pad, track & master out levels. Sometimes they can get turned down without us knowing.

Also check for any track automation. The fastest way is to clear all automation after you load the project. If this doesn't solve it & you had automation data you wanted to keep, just reload the project & keep troubleshooting.

Another place to check volume is the sample editor pad layer levels that goes up to 127. Also make sure CC11/Expression is turned up as this can effect the levels for MIDI tracks.

Following your advice, I deleted all the effects, macros, automation and MIDI learn. Still nothing. So I even deleted track by track. The project is now empty, and if I create a new plugin track or something else, I have the same problem. It's as if the problem comes from the project itself.

Try saving the tracks individually & load them into a working project to see if it's that works.

This is the right solution, thank you very much!

I'll share the solution with you, if it can help anyone :

1 - I copied each of the Tracks by doing “save track”
For each recording, you must remember to name each track as it is in the project. Two files are created for each track: an .xtk file containing the track settings (effects, volumes, PAN, etc.) and a Track Data file containing the clips.

2 - I recovered a backup of this project from last year that worked (so I could keep all my macros and MIDI controller MIDI learns).

3 - I deleted all the lines from this project.

4 - I imported the saved tracks:
Select track 1.
"Load" the .xtk file for track 1.

!!! To load the clips at the same time as the track, click on "load clips." While holding down the Shift key, the function appears.

5 - Repeat the process on all the other tracks.

I was able to recover everything this way. I only had a few effect settings on my MIDI controller that weren't working, but they weren't too complicated to restore.

For your information, I filed a ticket with AKAI customer service. They were super responsive and asked me to send them the crashed project so they could investigate the problem.

Perhaps a fix will be available in the next firmware update...
