'Next gen' MPC? There's absolutely no indication that this release will signal a new generation of hardware, it could just be another incremental update.
For me at least, 'next gen' was the transition from MPC Studio/Ren to MPC Live, or MPC5000 to MPC Ren etc.
The main indication that this will be the start of next gen MPC range is of course due to release of the next gen MPC software.
MPC v3 software is the next gen MPC software platform so expect the hardware to match.
Also the price point of the the new MPC live suggests this is much more than a minor itteration of the MPC live hardware.
Compare the price of the Live 1 to the Live 2; when they were first release the price differential was less then 300; whereas the cost of this live 3 has a big jump in cost, which may be tarriff related or it could be due to it being next gen.
But I would suggest the preponderance of evcidence indicates next gen.
