While it may not tick all those boxes I'd say this counts. I'd expect a new X to be around the corner and if Akai were to release a new Key 61 based on a new X (as opposed to it being based on a new One) I think "The Big 3" just might have to reconsider a thing or two regarding their hasted despairing presuppositions about the workstation market.

this live 3 is bigger then the current live with that touch strip add on; unless the pads are smaller? but am interested to see what changes they have made to the pads, but they delivered on specs.

I think for that high price they should of included oled qlinks,

does everyone agree this live 3 is the first of the next gen MPC, rather than an interation.

i might not bve able to buy this just cos of the location of the step sequence buttons; but aside from that it looks good, but i was not looking for a bigger live, wanted the mini.

but in general the signs are good for this live 3; again the merging of force button styles into MPC, from the software and hardware perspective, so this is good for the force fans who wanted a hybrid.

The step sequencer at the top is a stupid decision but probably because placed due to the speaker at the bottom. As I'm sure they tried at the top but probably made it sound worst due to how the casing is designed.
