MPC Live 3 being listed for sell!

i wonder whats gonna be possible with the new pads. the gap between them is closer and they are a small touch bigger than the previous ones, named differently and have those for corner LED cutouts and are likely MPE. maybe similar to what ableton have done on the push 3.

i think this is the point where the mpc turns into something completely new.
the new button layout and functions are certainly implicating a new workflow.

i actually like that they are moving in a different direction. for me, the newer mpc's didnt do it, because i much prefered the "old school" workflow of a 4000 or 2500 with JJOS.

could be a start to a new chapter in the world of mpc.

Doesn't the FCC confidentiality period end today? It was 180 days from 26th March, which according to google is 22nd September, this means the external photos should be live today or maybe tomorrow.

why is everyone being so critical?

The specs are quite future proof (may even support 24/96) and Im sure it will look great in dim studio or stage lighting..

sure the buttons could have been on the bottom (yet it was likely the most viable production expense; not to reinvent the hardware design) to give us a unit closer to a 15oo mark instead of a 2k point

At the end of the day Its all about workflow and sound (aesthetics often reflect on the design team) ..so lets just say in their ambition the created a Frankinstein in looks .... but man from the looks of it this will have a workflow that surpasses the old one 11 times over ..
Can't wait for the official release ..

IMO it seams Akai went all the way

actually you're right, I thougt i says 23rd as the end date which would mean that they're still protected for a whole day tomorrow but it clearly say "date available"

i knew that with mpc 3.0 there will be new hardware along with it and this is the first thing now.

Because it looks fake. Convenient that almost every popular hardware requests are crammed in without regard for the actual size or functionality This would have to be bigger than the live 2 but I’m pretty sure the leaked info showed a unit the same size as live 2

there are schematics for "top button board" and "top panel" on fcc site, just a food for thought...

so based on upon thge images we see of Live 3; what can we deduce/guestimate regarding the rest of the next gen akai machines?

Given that this Live 3 is bigger and heavier than Live 2; this makes think that the next gen MPC One 2 will likely come with a battery since the Live 3 is now somewhat less portable a device due to the increase size and weight.

I suppose all the next gen will now thave the new style pads; but wonder if Akai will stick to traditional Akai buttons or if all the next gen devices will now inherit the Force style buttons as we see in the Live 3.

I've always thought that Akai's design department was lacking. I always seem to prefer the NI look, that standalone maschine looks beautiful and is perfectly laid out (at least in terms of looks)
I was hoping with closer ties that Akai would adopt the design ethic of NI..... I guess they copied the buttons at least

My only wish for the new gen was to have an HDMI out for a Roland MV style setup but if this is genuine, then it looks like they aren't listening
If this is real then the under the hood upgrade sounds very impressive!

......can't wait to see what the new X looks like, it'll probably have about 500 buttons

specs seam legit ..

don't know how to feel about it .. as this looks like a powerful step up from current UI .. but now I feel like the mk3 is going to be shadowed by what looked like + 40 button interface ..

there is a fake AI image copy of the "real" picture from the retailer on elektronauts, some user posted it for whatever reason.

the "real" image from the retailer looks like a proper product shot.

I imagine the sky is the limit. From the layout i assume that each pad will be capable of distinct triggers. So A sample with different parameters on each quadrant. Or half a drum kit on one pad. Open and closed hats on the same pad. Snare and side sticks. Kick and kick plus sample!!

What would be dope is if you could do a sample plus macros on the same pad. And then of course it may have a clip matrix on the physical pads. These pads make me believe the Force is dead. This effectively would have the same pad capacity as the force so i don't see why they would make another 64 pad controller when this layout can do the same. I really really curious of what a new MPC x will look like. They clearly are upping the ante so I can't imagine the flagship not reaching for a wow factor as well.

Yes, I still had the original results page open, it was 9/23/2025 but now updated to 9/28/2025.
