looking closely its not as ugly & busy as everyone claims, the bright colours on the other image is proably what made it look more chaotic.

i never really thought the form factor of the mpc live is very appealing. for me the live 3 looks very similar to the the live 2 with a few more buttons. nothing i would consider good looking, but then i dont care too much.

looking at a few more pictures on the FCC site, there is a fan on top of the processor.
nice throwback

So:

  • 8-cores
  • Cortex A76 + Cortex A55

Not too shabby. I know a lot of folks will complain that it's old tech, but it's noticeably faster than the original SoC, which is all that matters. Also, the Rockchip 3588 has an NPU that supports on-device A.I. stuff, so that's sort of cool. Probably just LLM stuff, but still.

Looks like storage is going to be M.2 SSD form factor. And the pad sensor does confirm the 4 in 1 "MPCe" pads. USB-C is real.

An interesting "upgrade" for sure... not sure it's worth the cost of entry.

All I Wanna Know Is Can We Have....

Artifact-less Stem Separation and Warping.
And maybe Adding An "End Loop Point" Marker In Sample Edit.

Then It'll be perfect lol

There is no such thing, even on PC. Even Ableton Live does have audible warping artefacts using the complex algorithm, same for stems. It's just a matter of how easy it is to tell.

I'm glad they kept the PHONO input,. Overall, let's wait for the OS, because that's the most important thing to me... If it can do everything the Force does, since I prefer the MPC Live form factor, it could be the most powerful groovebox ever made. Of course the ergonomics need to be improved as well...

lol, I was telling people about this rockchip for several years now, fun fact, it's not as groundbreaking as you might think and it's "almost" as old and on it's way out as rock2 when live was released. it's a 2021 chip iirc.
