That's back when you could buy an MPC for $699 usd.. I paid $999 cad but prices have changed big time for gear. When the $1000 deal comes back i'll make a move. it aint about the form factor for me, i just dont wanna shell out more than i gotta.

"well its got 8gb of ram! and and and it gotz this n that!" but you guys are smart dudes. Making music isnt about the device or we'd all be on pc. Chasing down things because its new, fasionable or has higher specs without requirement is a waste of money, if you are paitent all your dreams will come true and they wont sting you to acquire them.

Wow I see that new plugins will be released as well, specially a Reverb Pro.
This is definitely a game changer, and I’m surprised to see how many people do not like it.

Definitely already used to the more busy look, especially when looking at the 'unlit' photos. All in all it sounds like an instant-buy for me, ticks a lot of boxes. From a business POV I'm very curious how they are going to deal with the mismatch in features between this and the 'legacy CPU' units. For example, if I develop something that takes advantage of the clip matrix or MPE, how will those instruments be handled when loading into an MPC One+? Features ignored? Stripped down support? Different 'mpc live3' file formats? MPC4 OS purely for these new units?

Wonder what that NOW section of buttons will be. I'm guessing they'll be for previous and next seq?

Also, what an interesting shop lol. One can purchase tasers, wine, costumes, needles, hazmat suits, municipal bus shelters, and MPC's at the same store. Truly a one-stop shop

There will be a transition, but I really hope that new plugins will continue to be compatible with legacy cpus. Otherwise would be a really complex scenario for the marketing department to manage.
I expect something similar to what has happened with Apple and transition to M1.

While I'm excited for the new approach, I'm already starting to notice the classic Akai fumble. For instance, if these buttons are not backlit, that red is going to be damn near impossible to see in certain lighting. I'm looking at these buttons and trying to find Shift...this really raises a lot of questions for me. First, for a button that will be getting as much use as Shift, why put it in such close proximity as the other buttons? Second, is the red color to denote primary or secondary function? If primary, why would you make it so difficult to read? If secondary, why is Shift red when it's the only function? Even more than this, look at the placements of the button labels - some are on the top, some are on the bottom, some are on the case. There's seemingly ZERO focus. At first I thought red was to denote REC functions, but then that doesn't explain the top row of buttons. I really hope this makes sense once sitting in front of the thing.

Also, there's a TON of real estate to the right of that touch strip wasted on division labels. This section really should have been an assignable crossfader or two.

EDIT: Looking at that MIC ON button - why wouldn't you just label it MIC ON/OFF? Does the mic just stay on? Is it momentary?

I told you guys they took MPC clips to replace it with the superior Force clip-matrix system. This Live 3 has 16 function buttons which is 2x the amount of the Force. That's amazing! Being able to mute/solo 16 tracks/pads while banging on 16 drum 3D MPCe pads & a touchstrip will take shit to a higher level!
