You can AutoSample Some of your External Synths into a Sequence To workaround that MIDI NOTE BUG.

I may as well dust off the MC500.

The bug is Midi IN, not Midi OUT, isn't it?
I'm having no problems sequencing external gear.

Just because I'm doubting myself I've just set up 4 parts on my S5000, sequenced C3 on all 4 parts (channels 1-4 respectively) on the MPC. 2 channels sustained, one doing quarter notes, one doing halfs, No problems, the sustained notes don't get cut off.

I double checked the midi monitor, C3 is being sent on 4 channels, it's sending note on and note off data and I can hear all 4 programs as expected.

Did you try it yourself or have a source?

Awesome sauce!

but an apology/acknowledgment from Akai would also be nice.
