Someone said they were able to get around the payment issue by using the gift option, entering the inMusic email address as the recipient. It might also help to try a different network, like your mobile phone connection.

Alternatively, you could try contacting FastSpring support for assistance:

Thanks -- I have done all of these things (inc. multiple browsers, networks, gifting etc.) including contacting support. Still waiting for any reply at the moment. Hard to believe it's a block on any of my payment methods as I've tried multiple cards, paypal, apple, google.

Honestly, glad I stopped using Fastspring years ago, the number of card declines I got was ridiculous and support was painfully slow. And there's no easy way to resolve most problems like you can with a proper dedicated payment processor. You can tell from that FAQ page that Akai are basically powerless to remedy any issues/.

Not sure why a big company like inMusic uses these third party resellers like Fastspring and ESW. The decline rate with Stripe and Paypal is minimal in my experience (virtually non-existent with Paypal). When companies need an actual FAQ page dedicated to workarounds to payment authorisation issues, surely it's time to switch payment solution? Imagine how much money they are losing on this. And these resellers charge vendors a fortune in fees, especially on currency exchange.

And if Akai had their own checkout system you could just log into your inMusic account during checkout, rather than having to remember to correctly enter your inmusic email and hope it somehow makes it to your account.

i use Apple Pay for everything and had no issues on the first try.

in case you have not been to their support page--

https://support.airmusictech.com/en/sup ... fastspring

In most cases, checkout failure is due to fraud prevention/risk analysis - Assuming funds are available on your credit card and your bank has not declined the transaction, a temporary hold may have been placed against your device IP due to one or more of the following reasons:

IP Address Country
IP Address Region
Payment Type
Card Country

Here's what we suggest:

Ensure the Billing Address matches the payment card
Ensure the CVV number is correct
Disable your VPN / Private Relay
Clear the cookies / Cache on your browser
Try a different web browser
Try Incognito mode on the web browser
Try a different payment method
Try from your smart device / mobile phone
Connect to a mobile network via a personal hotspot

If you continue to experience any checkout errors upon placing your order... Please contact your Bank / Card Provider / Financial Institute.

Note, that inMusic (AIR/AKAI PRO/ BFD/ HEADRUSH) support is unable to directly solve checkout failure issues - While our support team is available to assist, please be mindful of this upon creating a support ticket.

I managed to buy it -- I had to use an alt laptop on a newly installed different browser in incognito in a local cafe with a card that I never use normally, and gift it to myself.

I don't know why I try so hard to give InMusic money.

I'm going to go make music.

Lol, I've read endless articles about ecommerce checkout optimisation which all go on about the importance of reducing all friction, but I swear Akai are single handedly trying to disprove all the experts. I guess when you are the only place selling something, people will find a way no matter how ridiculous the solution.

LMAO, I have the same issue right now
I tried using ApplePay with my credit card, debit card, I tried typing card details manually, nothing worked so far. PayPal I don't think I can use as I have it on a different email address than my inMusic profile. I'll try with the gift option now, wish me luck.
